Brunate overlooks Como, which lies on the shore of Lake Como some 500 metres below. For a short time in the late 12th century Brunate was an independent commune, but in 1240 it reverted to the suzerainty of Como. Como and Brunate are linked by a steep, narrow, winding road, and by the Como to Brunate funicular. Alessandro Volta lived in Brunate for a short period and the Bulgarian poet Pencho Slaveykov died in the town on 10 June 1912.
The distinctive sound of GEs notched out could be heard for several minutes before this manifest came into view. Here they pass by the southern edge of Como Park as they crest the hill on the ex-NP line.

The cathedral, located near Lake Como, is one of the most important buildings in the region. It is commonly described as the last Gothic cathedral built in Italy: construction on it, on the site of the earlier Romanesque cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Maggiore, began in 1396, 10 years after the foundation of Milan Cathedral. The construction works, started under the supervision of Lorenzo degli Spazzi di Laino, did not finish until 1770 with the completion of the Rococo cupola by Filippo Juvarra.[2] The imposing west front was built between 1457 and 1498 and features a rose window and a portal between two statues of Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger, natives of Como.

The villa was commissioned by marquis Innocenzo Odescalchi from Swiss architect Simone Cantoni in 1797 and used as a summer retreat for the aristocracy. The villa was named after an elm tree planted in the middle of the ornate gardens, which is no longer alive today.
It was acquired in 1924 by the municipality of Como.

Estaba dispuesto a pegarme unos parrafazos acerca del tiempo (del paso del tiempo en realidad), el cambio en general , el cambio en los gustos, en las aficiones, las inquietudes etc...
Y solo me sale ... "Como hemos cambiado....".
Y por mi parte, y aunque cada vez las responsabilidades son mayores, ... me encuentro bien, todo fluye mas o menos y si no... siempre queda algun atardecer de estos, te sientas en el banco, respiras y todo se cuadra un pelín mas.
Por cierto... os dejo un temazo... de los de mirar al frente, pensar, respirar y respirar.... y todo cuadra un poco mas...
