CEA Project Logistics commitment to CSR related activities in community continued last week as a team from CEA head office in Laem Chabang joined forces with over 100 local volunteers and community leaders from Ao Udom.
The mission primarily was to improve the habitat for the local fish, artificial ‘Fish Houses’ were assembled by the volunteers, these would be taken out to sea with the purpose of increasing the breeding potential of the fish in turn creating more fish for the local fisherman to catch and increase their incomes. The fish houses would also protect the smaller fish from their natural larger predators.
When all the fish houses were placed in the sea, the second part of the mission began, this involved cleaning the surrounding beach area from rubbish and overgrowth to create a more aesthetic place to sit, relax and fish for tourists and locals alike.

A view of the Ross Fountain at Butchart Gardens -- spectacular gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. -- BEST VIEWED LARGE.
From the Butchart Gardens web site: "Fifty-five acres of wonderful floral display are open to the public, offering spectacular views from the many paths that meander through the four main gardens. In 1904, Jennie Butchart began to beautify a worked-out quarry site left behind from her husband's pioneering efforts in the manufacture of portland cement. The family's commitment to horticulture and hospitality spans 100 years, and continues to delight visitors from all over the world. From the exquisite Sunken Garden to the charming Rose Garden, the gracious traditions of the past are still maintained in one of the loveliest corners in the world."

My commitment to wellness involves a daily (okay - almost daily) dose of apple cider vinegar. It's fish night. I sprinkle on the the vinegar instead of the tartar sauce.

A fully packed mule is led down the slope of a mountain by a Marine handler. Inspired by Frederic Remington's "Mountain Man," the artist drew from his experiences at the Animal Pack Course at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Center near Bridgeport, California. As they pursued insurgents across rugged terrain in Afghanistan, Marines sometimes found that they needed to rely on non-mechanized transport.

The event ran from 6 pm to 9:30 pm and was FREE.
For the Foundation, First Friday Doylestown is an evening to celebrate the arts and raise awareness about the good work it is doing in the community. The Foundation distributed information about their upcoming Believe in the Cure Cycling Tour in which a young man infected with the hepatitis b virus will ride his bike from Pensacola, Fla., to Philadelphia to promote awareness of hepatitis B. Foundation representatives were also available to answer questions from local residents as well as discuss public health programs that the Foundation offers the community.
