The Krewelshof Eifel, a popular farm store in the Eifel region of Germany, is set to host its annual and renowned pumpkin exhibition in 2025. This year's theme, "Atlantis - Sunken Underwater Worlds Made of Pumpkin," promises to be a spectacular display of creativity and autumn artistry. From August 30th to early November, visitors can immerse themselves in a fascinating world where thousands of pumpkins are transformed into an array of enchanting underwater sculptures. The exhibition is billed as "NRW's largest pumpkin exhibition," attracting families and tourists from across the region to witness this unique celebration of the harvest season.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to explore a magnificent collection of pumpkin sculptures that bring the mythical city of Atlantis to life. The theme will feature a variety of creations, including giant figures of mermaids, sea monsters, and other denizens of the deep, all meticulously crafted from pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors. These impressive artworks will serve as perfect photo opportunities, providing stunning backdrops for capturing memorable moments with family and friends. The exhibition not only showcases artistic talent but also highlights the incredible diversity of the pumpkin itself.
Beyond the elaborate pumpkin displays, the Krewelshof Eifel pumpkin exhibition offers a full day of family-friendly activities. The opening on August 30th will feature a grand festival with live entertainment, a visit from the pumpkin mascot "Kürbi," and special guests like Ariel the mermaid. Throughout the season, guests can participate in hands-on activities such as pumpkin carving and painting, as well as enjoy a variety of pumpkin-themed culinary delights. From pumpkin soup and roasted pumpkin seeds to sweet pumpkin popcorn and cinnamon rolls, the farm's culinary offerings provide a delicious way to experience the harvest.
The Krewelshof Eifel is more than just a seasonal attraction; it is a year-round destination for nature, enjoyment, and a sustainable lifestyle. Located amidst its own orchards and fields, the farm features a well-stocked farm store, a bakery, and a restaurant that all emphasize fresh, local products. The pumpkin exhibition serves as a major highlight, drawing attention to the farm's commitment to showcasing the bounty of the land and providing a relaxing and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. The 2025 "Atlantis" theme adds a new layer of magic and wonder to this beloved autumn tradition.

On 13 November 2024, the UN Resident Coordinator in Thailand convened 59 University Presidents and their representatives under the Sustainable University Network (SUN Network) and Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT), to sign the Statement of Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand witnessed the signing ceremony and expressed support for the commitment made to enhance greening higher education and the outcomes of the Summit of the Future, as well as to promote the role of young people as active agents of change.
Emphasising the significant milestone made by 59 signatory universities across Thailand, the panel discussion on 'Universities for Tomorrow: Greening Higher Education' further noted the crucial role of universities in advancing the SDGs, partnerships for impact, along with the recognition of youth leadership in addressing sustainable development challenges.
The event was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Global Compact Network Thailand, and university-level Model UN clubs.
