"Regardless of your academic focus, you will graduate having majored in leadership. The good news is that you will leave this hallowed institution well-prepared to meet the challenges your careers will place before you. When you graduate, look at your diploma. Understand what it represents. It doesn’t mean that you are ready to conquer the world any more than one from an Ivy League school, an MIT or Ga Tech, a Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, or Stanford. It means you are ready to learn your profession through hands-on experience. It means you are ready to make your own luck.

For the first time in NFL history, a team will take their Draft operations to a fire station when the Los Angeles Rams draft from Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Air Operations, showcasing their commitment to community resilience and honoring the first responders who protect the city they call home. With support from Zillow, the Rams and LAFD will convert a room within LAFD Air Operations to serve as General Manager Les Snead and Head Coach Sean McVay's Draft headquarters April 24-26, as well as an adjacent hangar to serve as space for coaches, scouts, team personnel and media who are on-site during the three day event. LAFD Air Operations will be fully operational during the NFL Draft.
The Los Angeles Rams – Los Angeles' original professional sports team and Super Bowl LVI Champions – stand as one of the oldest franchises in the National Football League and since its founding in 1937, have garnered four World Championships and sent 30 of its members to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As a professional sports team, the organization is committed to being a valuable civic partner and serving the greater Los Angeles area 365 days a year.
As part of their continued efforts to help uplift the LA community following January’s unprecedented wildfires, the Rams will work with partner Zillow to renovate LAFD Air Operation’s recreation room, creating a more comfortable space that feels like home for firefighters to rest between callouts during their 24-hour shifts. Recliners for the recreation room will be provided by Rams partner Bob’s Discount Furniture.
On Friday morning prior to Day 2 of the Draft, the Rams will welcome additional first responders from throughout the region who assisted with the fires for a chalk talk with Coach McVay, Los Angeles Rams President Kevin Demoff, and other Rams executives.
“Drafting from LAFD Air Operations is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” said Demoff. “Since the wildfires devastated our region in January, we have looked to bring LA Together to help with the recovery efforts, raise the spirits of those impacted, and shine a light on our first responders. We are humbled to partner with LAFD during one of the NFL’s biggest moments to express gratitude for those who risk their lives daily to protect our city.”
"We are incredibly grateful to the Los Angeles Rams for their unwavering support of the Los Angeles City Fire Department and our wildfire-impacted communities. Hosting the NFL Draft at LAFD Air Operations highlights the critical role our Air Operations plays in protecting Los Angeles, especially during wildfire season. The Rams' generosity—renovating our station and recognizing our firefighters—demonstrates a deep commitment to the city we all serve. We look forward to standing alongside the Rams in this meaningful event," said Interim Fire Chief Ronnie Villanueva.
“We’re proud to return as a Rams Draft partner for the second year,” said Beverly Jackson, Vice President of Brand and Product Marketing at Zillow. “At Zillow, we know that home is more than just a place — it’s about comfort, safety and a sense of belonging — and this year’s Draft Headquarters is a meaningful reflection of that. We’re grateful to play a small role in recognizing their service.”
LAFD’s Air Operations plays a vital role in emergency response efforts, particularly in combating wildfires across the Los Angeles region.
Custom LAFD hats, hoodies, and shirts with the LA Rams monogram are available for sale at www.RamsFanShop.com and the Rams' official store, The Equipment Room at SoFi Stadium, with all profits from the sales supporting the LAFD Foundation and American Red Cross. The NFL, Los Angeles Rams, New Era, and Fanatics do not retain any profits from the sale of the Rams LAFD hats and shirts. Funds raised from the sale of these products will benefit the LAFD Foundation and American Red Cross to support local firefighters and those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California.
The Rams have supported wildfire recovery efforts throughout Los Angeles in a variety of ways. The team has hosted two major distribution events for evacuated families, football clinics for impacted youth including hosting 250 LA County Care Camp students affected by the Eaton Fire for a field trip to SoFi Stadium, delivered meals to fire stations and base camps, donated backpacks and distributed merchandise with Rams players and coaches, Rams Cheerleaders and mascot Rampage. Legends including Aaron Donald, Andrew Whitworth and Todd Gurley have visited base camps and distributed essential items while quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, gifted Pasadena High School and Pasadena Panthers Youth Football programs with new uniforms and football equipment that were lost in the wildfires. To date, the Rams have donated nearly $2 million in total to fire relief efforts, including a $1million donation from The Kroenke Family Foundation to LAFD Foundation.
All three days of the 2025 NFL Draft will be broadcast on NFL Network, ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes, including two nights of primetime coverage on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25.

Basel, also known as Bâle in French and Basilea in Italian, is a city in northwestern Switzerland on the Rhine. Basel is Switzerland's third-most-populous city (after Zürich and Geneva), with roughly 178,000 inhabitants within the city municipality limits in the 2020s. The official language of Basel is (the Swiss variety of Standard) German, and the main spoken language is the local Basel German dialect.
Basel is commonly considered to be the cultural capital of Switzerland and the city is famous for its many museums, including the first collection of art accessible to the public in the world (1661) and the largest museum of art in Switzerland. The University of Basel, Switzerland's oldest university (founded in 1460), and the city's centuries-long commitment to humanism, have made Basel a safe haven at times of political unrest in other parts of Europe for refugees and dissidents.
