子供の関係で、新宿のホテルへ一泊してきました。最初の裏口と居酒屋の二枚を除いて、朝の６時から３０分以内ですべて撮影しました。
今回は、子供中心で一泊したので、朝食前にちょっとだけ撮りに出かけました。ホテルの朝食が美味しかったです。:)

“Synopsis”
A Palestinian group from Gaza hacks into North Korea’s cryptocurrency system, stealing hundreds of millions of dollars. Their true goal is not money—but to recreate the lost homeland of Gaza on American soil.
Amid the backdrop of hardline Republican immigration policies and a growing wave of xenophobia, a quiet plan begins to take shape: the gradual collapse of America from within.
During a speech at Madison Square Garden, Republican presidential candidate Justin Bradford is shot. Almost simultaneously in Los Angeles, former president Owen Reed is attacked at a rally for Democratic hopeful Ryan Bennett.
Two assassinations—mirroring one another—ignite a nation’s deepest divide. Yet, against all odds, Justin survives. His blood type is one in 2.5 million: the Bombay Blood Group.
The only person who can donate such blood is Anaya Patel, a community art facilitator working in Brooklyn. Her blood, stored in the Bellevue Hospital Blood Bank, is used for an emergency transfusion that saves the candidate’s life.
Jack Vance, an agent of the U.S. Secret Service, suspects a Gaza-based network behind the attacks. Together with Cameron Bartlett, the FBI Director of the Los Angeles Field Office, and Veronica Reeves, a senior investigator from New York, he begins to uncover a vast conspiracy.
Their investigation leads them to Rafi Gannam, a former architecture student at the Islamic University of Gaza, who has infiltrated redevelopment sites across Los Angeles and New York—embedding C4 explosives deep within beams and structural cores.
His targets: new residential districts where agents of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) live—symbols of “the order America built.”
Veronica urges the President to pursue dialogue to prevent further destruction, but President Grant M. Ranford refuses to listen.
Meanwhile, the recovering Justin and his Democratic rival Ryan appear on national television, calling for unity beyond political divisions.
Their words of reason, however, are drowned out when Grant takes the stage in Iowa, defiantly declaring: “We will never bow to terror.”
Among the crowd, Rafi’s operatives have already taken their positions.
As chaos erupts and the stage collapses, Amir Nasser—once Rafi’s comrade, haunted by the memory of his sister’s death in Gaza—tries desperately to halt the chain of destruction.
But Rafi’s conviction remains unshaken.
Under the twilight beneath the Williamsburg Bridge, amid the city’s fading noise, the two men part ways.
It is the boundary between prayer and vengeance, between hope and nothingness.

Because of my child, I stayed one night at a hotel in Shinjuku. Except for the first two shots—the back entrance and the izakaya—I took everything within 30 minutes, starting at 6:00 a.m.
This time the trip was all about my child, so I only slipped out briefly before breakfast to take a few photos. The hotel breakfast was delicious. :)

“あらすじ”
北朝鮮の仮想通貨システムをハッキングし、数億ドルを奪取したガザ出身のパレスチナ人グループが、アメリカ合衆国へ密かに潜入する。
彼らの目的は、失われた祖国ガザを、アメリカの地に「復元」することだった。
共和党による強硬な移民政策と、国内にくすぶる排外感情を利用し、アメリカ社会を内側から崩壊させる計画が静かに進行していく。
共和党大統領候補ジャスティン・ブラッドフォードがマディソン・スクエア・ガーデンで演説中に狙撃され、ほぼ同時刻、ロサンゼルスでは前大統領オーウェン・リードもまた、民主党候補ライアン・ベネットの集会で撃たれる。
国家を二分する双方向の暗殺。だが、ジャスティンは奇跡的に生還する。
彼の血液型は、世界でわずか250万人に一人といわれる「ボンベイブラッド」。
その希少な血を提供できたのは、ブルックリンで活動するコミュニティアート・ファシリテーター、アナヤ・パテルだった。
彼女の血液はベルビュー病院の血液バンクに保存されており、緊急輸血によって、候補者の命はかろうじて繋がれた。

UPDATE!!!
Just found out that the guy WAS in our park, spotted early this morning by a neighbor who called 911. Said he walked down the street then jumped into the wash and headed East.

You may not know this but about a mile from our house (as the crow flies) there is the United States Penitentiary - Tucson, the Arizona State Prison Complex Tucson, and the Federal Correctional Institution For Women- Tucson. That's a lot of inmates in a pretty close area.
Evidently last night close to midnight the worst happened and one of the prisoners escaped. As of right now they are still searching for him and it seems to be focused right on our neighborhood. There have been no shelter in place orders but it's always possible.
This is a command post they've got set up just down the street from us, lot's of undercover vehicles! Nothing like a good jailbreak to get us Seasoned Citizens up and out in the street!

Each unit has it's own role to play in the Pathfinder task force, but reconnaissance is all about information gathering, geographical planning, and discovering hostile troop movements, which is what makes the Command Variant the heart of the task force. If this unit is in the area, and you fight under a different flag, it's going to find you. Outfitted with some of the most advanced, and expensive equipment available, it can detect just about anything and everything within a certain range.
Fitted with a powerful ground radar, with a range of up to 30 miles, uncovering enemies in plain sight is effortless, but not all enemies are so easily exposed, so a satellite uplink and control module gives a birds eye view of the entire battlefield, allowing for a much greater assessment of the situation. The Command variant has communication interception equipment for tapping into enemy radio traffic, but it also has counter communication tapping equipment, so that the enemy can't tap into friendly radio chatter. Also fitted to the unit is a radio frequency override system, which hijacks enemy radio equipment and sends out a ping, allowing for the unit to get an exact fix on the location of the radio transmission, and then feed into any other communication equipment that the hijacked radio broadcasts to, effectively creating a network of who's talking to who, and where, all while unknown to the enemy. The front of the vehicle is fitted with multiple antenna so that the Command Variant can keep in touch with multiple friendly units at all times.
Taking out a command vehicle doesn't quite have the potency it did forty of fifty years ago, in that you'd leave the attached task force isolated and cut off. With each member of the task being in constant contact with the command center, if one unit discovers the enemy, all units discover the enemy, and the command center does too, but that being said, the Command Variant is undoubtedly the eyes and ears of the task force, and any information it gathers is fed directly back to the command center in real time, so even if the unit is destroyed, it's work has already been done.
Although this variant has no weapons, any sharp eyed and mindful hostile soldier would have this unit on the top of his kill list, denying his enemy a vital piece of battlefield equipment, and without a doubt keeping many of his allies alive and undiscovered.
As with all Pathfinder vehicles, this unit has a crew of three, including a commander, an intelligence analyst officer, and a driver.

Completed in 1942, the Fire Command Post controlled all the guns which protected Halifax Harbour.
Soldiers would measure the distance and direction of the targets, these were passed by telephone to the gun battery. The gunners loaded and fired as ordered; they did not need to see the target.

York Redoubt was a main part of the defence of Halifax Harbour in the 19th and 20th centuries and a command centre during World War II, York Redoubt played a vital role in protecting Halifax since it was first built in 1793.
Close to 100 years old and still going strong, Tepu' Apung is one of the most direct and outspoken elders I've met in Bario. Always well known for her intelligence and sharpness, quite literally, her other name, Beken Ayu, means "something different" in Kelabit - and she lives up to it. On this particular day she decided to give me a Kelabit name, but her delivery was uniquely serious and classic Tepu' Apung: "Chris is a girl's name. You can't use that name anymore - your new name is Giak!"
She spends most of her time at Rumah Labang just spending time around people and the environment - be it relaxing by the fire, making sure everyone has eaten ("Kuman? Kuman!") or sharing stories from the past. Some of her stories are even so detailed and complex she claims she can't even share them with us as they would literally take days to complete.
Her spoken Kelabit is very deep with not all words completely understood by younger Kelabits - as parts of her lexicon are not commonly used on a daily basis. Any misunderstanding is usually met with Sarawak Malay to get the point across. Her beads are also of particular importance to her - as they are to most Kelabits (especially in past times where they were highly valued), and if she is not found in the kitchen she can undoubtedly be found beading in her room.
Be aware though, If one wishes to engage Tepu' in discussion, they should be commited to discussion. She doesn't joke around and she commands honest respect. For that commitment, however, one will be rewarded with stories of Kelabit past available nowhere else and uniquely Beken Ayu.

A 5 alarm fire destroyed several warehouses and commercial buildings in an industrial area off 7th Street in San Jose.
One person suffered 3rd degree burns and was hospitalized. Several school buses in an adjoining property were damaged by heat.
San Jose Command Van 1 is a former San Jose Library Bookmobile that has been converted into this state of the art communications and command van by the San Jose Fire Department.

L'Hôtel Solvay est un hôtel de maître bruxellois de style Art nouveau conçu par l'architecte belge Victor Horta en 1895-1903 et transformé en musée, situé au n° 224 de l'avenue Louise à Ixelles (Bruxelles). Acheté en 1958 par Louis Wittamer, ce dernier lui a redonné son lustre d'antan. L’hôtel particulier de Armand Solvay ne fut pas la seule commande que cette famille passa à Victor Horta. Ces industriels étant également de grands mécènes et philanthropes, ils passèrent des commandes à différents grands architectes de cette période (Horta entre autres, mais encore Paul Hankar, Henry Van de Velde, Gustave Serrurier-Bovy, Ernest Blerot et Paul Cauchie. Victor Horta réalisa par exemple, pour la société Solvay, le pavillon pour l’Exposition universelle de 1905.
Excepté le rez-de-chaussée, la façade est symétrique, constituée de verre, de fer et de pierre naturelle comme la pierre bleue du Hainaut. La porte fenêtre du bel-étage donnant accès à un balcon est flanquée de deux bow-windows. Horta innove en disposant l'entrée sur le côté sous un porche où les calèches entrent, déposent les voyageurs et poursuivent jusqu'aux écuries au fond du jardin. De plus, il minimise la maçonnerie au profit d'une structure en fer qui lui permet d'obtenir un puits de lumière éclairant l'intérieur de lumière naturelle.
L'entrée est pavée de marbre et éclairée par des colonnettes surmontées de lampes avec des abat-jours en forme de corolle. Un tableau de Théo Van Rysselberghe orne le haut de l'escalier. Le mobilier, l'ornementation, les boiseries, les marbres et les ferronneries ont été dessinés par Horta lui-même qui a également imaginé une solution pour distribuer l'air chaud de manière égale dans tout le bâtiment. Un premier escalier, muni d'une balustrade tourbillonnante en métal doré, conduit du rez-de-chaussée au bel-étage où se trouvent les espaces de réception (salons en façade avant et salle à manger à l'arrière). Ces derniers sont séparés les uns des autres par des cloisons vitrées pouvant s'ouvrir pour créer un énorme espace continu sur quasiment toute la surface de la maison. Cet escalier d'apparat est surmonté d'une impressionnante verrière dont la courbure assure également une répartition optimale de l'air chaud, dispensé par les bouches de chauffage situées au pied de l'escalier. Vu la présence de cette verrière, créée par Raphaël Évaldre, un second escalier, décalé, permet d'atteindre les étages supérieurs, où se trouvent les chambres et salles d'eau.
Une grande porte donne accès aux écuries qui se trouvent derrière le bâtiment, dans le jardin. Le rez-de chaussée comporte également les cuisines et le fumoir. This is the first time I have ever posted one of my graphic design projects on Flickr. I always figured Flickr was not really the venue for it.
That said, I couldn't find my firewire cable for my external drive today, so I figured I'd find something hidden away on my laptop to post. And so, here we have this project. I think I will miss the open-ended, imaginary-project coolness of school assignments.
This model started as a valkyrie riding a giant eagle, except valkyries do not ride eagles, and I also did not get my LUG bulk order in time. So here is a pivot to a hunter and her wolf companion. A bit of an abstract composition for this Summer Joust theme.
