Col. John T. Litz became the 68th commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, during a military change of command ceremony July 13, 2018, at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Baltimore. He assumed leadership from Col. Edward P. Chamberlayne who had commanded Baltimore District since July 2015.
Litz, a native of Kingsport, Tennessee, takes command of one the largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers districts, with a staff of more than 1,100 personnel serving the Mid-Atlantic region and the nation.

U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach's Sexual Harrassment and Assault Response and Prevention program hosted a Walk to End Violence April 17, 2014, as a way to commemorate April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The event began at Katterbach Fitness Center, where Col. Christopher M. Benson, USAG Ansbach commander, made a few remarks and finished at Ansbach Middle/High School where Brig. Gen. Walter E. Piatt, commander of the 7th U.S. Army's Joint Multinational Training Command, made remarks to the Soldiers and students of USAG Ansbach about the importance of recognizing and confronting behavior that is detrimental to the Army.

Col. John DiGiambattista, commander, 1st Brigade Combat Team “Ironhorse,” 1st Cavalry Division, relinquished command of the brigade he led for 32 months on three continents, partnering with more than 20 nations in diverse training rotations and real-world missions Jan. 27, 2017.
DiGiambattista relinquished command to Col. Wilson Rutherford IV, during a change of command ceremony at Cooper Field. The two men had served together earlier in their careers as captains in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.

PEARL HARBOR (Jun. 26, 2012) - The Japanese minesweeper tender JDS Bungo pulls into Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to support Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2012 exercise. Twenty-two nations, 42 ships, six submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel will participate in the biennial RIMPAC exercise scheduled June 29 to Aug. 3, in and around the Hawaiian Islands. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. This rudimentary defensive position may have served as the command bunker for a battery of anti-aircraft guns in this location. It it sited near the highest point, in close proximity to one of the Rh-202 guns still in situ (presumed to be close to the original position) and would have been large enough for the compliment of command and signals staff required. It is larger than the standard single or two-man positions found elsewhere.
