About Amazon Studios’ Transparent
'Written, directed and executive produced by Emmy-nominee and 2013 Sundance Best Director winner Soloway, Transparent is a ten episode, half hour novelistic series that explores family, identity, sex, and love. The series stars Tambor as Maura, who has spent her life as Mort—the Pfefferman family patriarch. When she reintroduces herself to her family, everyone’s secrets finally start to come out. This includes her ex-wife Shelly (played by Light), and their children—meandering Ali (played by Hoffmann), record producer Josh (played by Duplass), and sexually conflicted Sarah (played by Landecker). Each family member spins in a different direction as they begin to figure out who they are going to become.

Mike and I sold tickets for Wyoming Players’ production of Comedy of Errors this evening. I am continuing with my resolution to wear my casual dresses, despite the snow.

A mask that I bought in the Castello district in Venice. The store where I bought it had a small workshop nearby where you could see the masks being made.
The shot was made with a Pentacon 50mm and a short macro ring (don't remember the size). Great lens, though best results are stepped down to 5,6 or further.

Made by William Rush, American,
born 1756, died 1833
William Rush created these two sculptures, Comedy and Tragedy, for Philadelphia's first theater, the New Theatre, at Sixth and Chestnut Streets. Until this time, Rush had been known for his carvings of ship's figureheads and for his ornamental work. This commission marked the beginning of the artist's creation of large-scale public sculptures.
Other works carved by Rush for Philadelphia include allegorical representations of the Schuykill River for the original waterworks (where City Hall stands today); a set of figures for the second waterworks at Fairmount (now part of the Museum's collection); and a full-length figure of George Washington.

Okay, quick 411: Bob (older man on left) was picked out by Kirk, the entertainment director (on right) to come up on stage whenever "California" was mentioned. He would introduce himself and said that he loved his wife and the audience replied back, "Prove it!" At this point he'd sing a little song to her.
Diane Ford, a professional comedienne, didn't know about this and was totally baffled and taken off-guard by Bob coming up on stage, taking her microphone, and going thru his routine. It was a total scream to watch.
Drop the Dead Donkey was a situation comedy that first aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom between 1990 and 1998. It is set in the offices of "GlobeLink News" , a fictional TV news company. Recorded close to transmission , it made use of contemporary news events to give the programme a greater sense of realism . It was created by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin . The series had an ensemble cast, making stars of Haydn Gwynne, Stephen Tompkinson and Neil Pearson .
The series began with the acquisition of GlobeLink by media mogul Sir Roysten Merchant , an allusion to either Robert Maxwell or Rupert Murdoch . Indeed , Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin note on their DVDs that it was fortunate for their libel lawyers that the two men shared the same initials . The series is mostly based on the ongoing battle between the staff of GlobeLink , led by editor George Dent , as they try to maintain the company as a serious news organisation , and Sir Roysten’s right-hand man Gus Hedges , trying to make the show more sensationalist and suppress stories that might harm Sir Roysten’s business empire.
The show was awarded the Best Comedy (Programme or Series) Award at the 1994 BAFTA Awards. At the British Comedy Awards the show won Best New TV Comedy in 1990, Best Channel 4 Comedy in 1991, and Best Channel 4 Sitcom in 1994.
Please click and read this whole thing. My mother and I were driving down 290 one day and passed the longest tralier bed we had ever seen. It was kind of annoying until I looked and noticed that although the bed appeared to be empty, there was actually a load being hauled. If you look *reeeally* closely you will see ... the Tonka truck. No, I'm not kidding. Funniest. Thing. Ever.

This free audiobook available at podiobooks.com/title/dunkin-the-vampire-slayer
What could possibly bring together a 450 pound vampire slayer, a drunken, acid-tongued detective, a good natured carpenter, bureaucratic vampires, giant anacondas, mutant vampire bats, Ho Hos, Twinkies and more one-liners than a night at the comedy club? Dunkin, the vampire slayer blends all this discordance and more into a hilarious adventure that moves from the muggy heat of Florida to the muggier heat of the Amazon. ....If Carl Hiaasson, Tim Dorsey and Dave Barry collaborated on a vampire story, it may have turned out like this absurd romp.... This is part one of a trilogy.
Hey! This is book one and the introduction of Devlin, hero of three other novels I have perpetrated on an unsuspecting public. Book two, Dunkin the Vampire Slayer: Death Rides A Pale, Pink, Porcine Horse is available at www.veinarmor.com. Book three, Dunkin the Vampire Slayer: It Ain't Over Til the Fat Man Stings is currently undergoing final hackery by me--The Hack!
