The history of Commerce Court North reaches back to when it was built in 1931. The 34-storey North Tower was the tallest building in the British Empire until 1962 and home to Canada's business elite for a generation. It was designed by Pearson and Darling Architects of Toronto, with the help of U.S. design firm York and Sawyer. With its stunning vaulted gold-coffered ceiling and classic Art-Deco style, it was a showplace in its time, and today remains a treasured Heritage building in Toronto's financial core and major component of Commerce Court.

Daily Photo - Central Park in the Fall
I had spent the afternoon alone while traveling (as usual, it seems) in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the middle of New York City. It sits on the Eastern edge of Central Park. It was a little cold outside, but I decided to walk across the park anyway, just as the sun was setting. As I moved through the trees, I found this little place and thought it would be fun to share.

I have a new HyperMac Review here on the site! It's an amazing device, and even if you are not a photographer, you will probably find a reason you need one!
Basically, it is an external battery that you can use to power up your Mac laptop and your iPhone. I keep running into situations where I am running out of battery power on my iPhone and/or computer, and I just am not near a power outlet.
I bought mine from the Hypershop just recently, and I could not be happier! Maybe the worst thing is that all my friends are always using it to charge up their iPhones too... It's like I'm the guy at the party that brought the beer!

You guys probably know how much I love Woopra... I did a little Woopra Video Review here on the site several months ago. The product is even better now... and you can get the basic version for free. The morning 10th of Februari I woke up to see Amsterdam covered in a coat of fresh snow. The snow fell in sudden flurries and gusts and turned the world white and wonderful. With the canals in the city and occasional high winds, there can be a nip in the air, but packing gloves and a scarf should keep you warm enough. There is something very beautiful about Amsterdam in the winter. It does occasionally snow in Amsterdam in February, but that almost always means just a light dusting. I walk in my neighbourhood and made some photos of the snow. When it snows the light and atmosphere is really beautiful. The steep bridges over the canals in Amsterdam are really slippery, especially for cars. The best way to travel in the snow is by bicycle, tram, walking or better by sleds.
After the snow blizzard of last night in Amsterdam the weather cleared up dramatically and we were treated to bright blue skies and lot of sunshine. This morning I walk in my neighbourhood and made some beautiful photos of the snow. The virgin white carpet of snow is crunching under my shoes. I began to remember why I love the winters so much. The temperature is cold outside but its warm and cosy inside these houseboats. Yesterday we had more snow. Photo taken at the Keizersgracht corner Brouwersgracht. In the background you can you see the Posthoorn church build in 1860.
10 februari werd ik wakker en zag Amsterdam bedekt met een laagje verse sneeuw. De sneeuw die vannacht viel bedekte de wereld om ons heen wit en prachtig. Ik heb mijn camera gepakt en op pad gegaan in m'n buurtje. Ik geniet van het geluid van knarsende sneeuw onder mijn schoenen en het prachtige gezicht op de Amsterdamse grachtenpanden. Het is min één graden en de grijze sneeuw wolken trekken weg. Mijn handschoenen en m'n sjaal houden mij warm genoeg. Er is iets heel moois over Amsterdam in de winter. De Jordaan is bedolven onder dik pak sneeuw zoals hierboven op de Keizersgracht. Het beste advies is dan maar om lekker binnen te blijven en de kachel iets hoger te zetten. Of natuurlijk even naar buiten te gaan om wat mooie plaatjes te schieten. Naast de overlast zorgt de sneeuw ook voor veel plezier bij kinderen hier in de Amsterdamse Jordaan. Sneeuwballen gevecht, sneeuwpoppen maken of sleetje rijden. Allemaal leuke activiteiten die kinderen doen in deze mooie besneeuwde wereld.

Ice Fishing In Baker County Oregon.
Where there’s fish… Enjoying some winter ice fishing along the back roads of Baker County Oregon at Phillips lake and Unity Lake State park.
Both of these lakes are great fisheries during the summer months as well but their high elevation in the Elkhorn mountains and Eastern Oregon’s frigid winters cover them with ice. Locals and avid anglers form through out the NW enjoy ice fishing these two lakes during the winter months.

The Macropod is a rigid, portable photomacrography system, which allows the user to make razor sharp, fully focused photographs of small sized specimens at 18 to 26-megapixel resolution. It overcomes the extreme Depth of Field (DOF) limitations inherent in optics designed to image smaller specimens. Normally, lenses designed for macro will only render a very small fraction of the depth of targeted specimen in sharp focus at any one exposure. The Macropod allows the user to select and make multiple exposures in precise increments along the Z-axis (depth) such that each exposure’s area of sharp focus overlaps with the previous and next exposure. These source images are then transferred to a computer and merged by an image-stacking program. Zerene Stacker is used to find and stitch together only the focused pixels from each exposure into one image. The Macropod integrates industry-leading components in a novel and elegant way to achieve these results.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

The Local Music Scene at Churchill School Baker City Oregon.
A musical evening in Baker City at Churchill School with live music by Elwood.
While live music venues have been shuttered during COVID, the folks at Churchill School have been doing their part to help keep the music scene going and have been hosting a series of live stream performances. While there is no audience in the venue Churchill has been able to host these live stream events that audiences can watch form their own home or live on the jumbotron screen in the parking lot as a drive in concert.
We got to get inside for this weekend’s concert with Elwood and his band Rut Nut You can watch the live Stream of this performance at youtu.be/weflolMSTV0

Since local Artists, event organizers and preservationists Brian and Corrine Vegter purchased the historic Churchill elementary school building this former school balding has enjoyed a new lease on life through creative and adaptive reuse as an arts incubator, bike/ski hostel, community event center, concert venue and performance space.
Churchill school includes a sound studio, a working woodshop, metal fabrication studio gallery space and multiple artist studio spaces and the cafeteria has become a new music venue regularly hosting musical artists from throughout the PNW

Camp Crystal Lake...
This image is probably my personal favorite, I love winter, and its returning to Australia soon. The fog will be forming and photographers will be out in force... including me.
Landscape photography is all about trying to be in the right place, at the right time. Seconds before this shot was taken the fog covered the lake like a thick blanket. It felt spooky, the fog felt alive and I think we woke it up, because before we knew it, it was all around us, it had lifted from the lake and rushed us.
Enjoy.

About Camp Crystal Lake
Camp Crystal Lake, the setting for many films in the Friday the 13th (franchise) series.
About Lake Moogerah
Lake Moogerah, formed by Moogerah Dam, is a water supply and irrigation dam on Reynolds Creek, a tributary of the Bremer River in Southeast Queensland's Fassifern Valley. The lake is used for recreation, fishing and camping.
The lake is located around 60 km southwest of Ipswich, and about 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. Boonah is the nearest town, about 15 km from the lake.
Construction on the dam began in 1959, although land for the project was resumed as early as 1916. Moogerah Dam was completed in 1961 as the central catchment of the Warrill Valley Water Supply Scheme. The dam wall at Lake Moogerah allows access to Mount Edwards in Moogerah Peaks National Park.
The dam supplies drinking water to the towns of Boonah and Ipswich, although the main user is the Swanbank Power Station. It also supplies irrigation water to small crop farms in the Fassifern Valley.
There is a popular caravan park at Moogerah Dam. Higher Ground Australia operate Camp Moogerah at the lake for church youth groups. On the western shore are Camp Mallon and Camp Laurence which offer group accommodation camps with educational and adventure activities for school students, family and church groups. On the southern shore is the Brisbane Grammar School Pepperina Hill Campsite, which is primarily used for grade 8-10 camps.
During the 1995 drought dam levels declined to a low of 1% total capacity
'Moogerah' comes from the aboriginal word Moojirah meaning home of the thunderstorm.
