Bagan formerly Pagan is an ancient city from the 9th to 13th centuries,. The city was the capital of Myanmar. Bagan is one of Myanmar’s main attractions. It was the capital of Bagan empire, where Theravada Buddhism was the main religion. The area also known as the Bagan Archaeological Zone, occupies an impressive 26-sq-mile area. Marco Polo described Bagan as one of the finest sights in the world. Despite centuries of neglect, looting, erosion, regular earthquakes, not to mention questionable restoration, this temple-studded plain remains a remarkably impressive and unforgettable vision. Bagan’s kings commissioned more than 4000 Buddhist temples. Htilominlo Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Bagan built during the reign of King Htilominlo, Anno 1211-1231. The temple is three stories tall, with a height of 46 metres and built with red brick. It is also known for its elaborate plaster moldings. On the first floor of the temple, there are four Buddhas that face each direction. You can climb up to terraces and view both the inside and outside of this temple. It has examples of painted stucco walls, many of which are still in good shape.
Probably because it is one of the first Bagan temples I saw but I was impressed by its magnificence and the way it was build inside. Situated close to the road between Nyaung U and Bagan, and about 1.5 km northeast of Bagan. This large temple was built by King Nantaungmya in 1218. The temple is known to be the last Myanmar Style temple built in Bagan. The name is a misreading of the Pali word for 'Blessings of the Three Worlds'. Inside the 46-metre-high temple, which is similar in design to Sulamani Temple there are four Buddhas on the lower and upper floors.

We fietsen langs alle bijzondere boeddhistische tempels in Bagan. De

De tempel is drie verdiepingen hoog, met een hoogte van 46 meter en gebouwd met rode bakstenen. Het is ook bekend om zijn uitgebreide gipsen afgietsels. My technique is alway the same:
Three exposures -2EV, 0, +2EV and then temperature adjustement using Lightroom and layering with luminosity mask using photoshop. Removal of distracting stuff with the stamp tool or patch tool. High pass filter to enhance details. Then saturation, contrast selectively control, dodge and burn where need...
DRI stand for Dynamic Range Increase. Three RAW files are used to achieve this. Rather than using a software like Photomatix for instance, I simply use mask to blend, my own way, the light, dark and normal shot with Photoshop and Lightroom.. To me, It looks more natural than the usual HDR treatment that I would normally applied.

DRI vient de l'anglais Dynmic Range Increase, qui pourrait se traduire par étendue dynamique améliorée. Les même 3 fichiers RAW entrent dans la composition d'un DRI. Plutôt que de se servir d'un logiciel comme Photomatix qui fait tout le travail, je me sers plutôt de masques pour filtrer l'éclairage dans photoshop et Lightroom. De mon point de vue, cette façon de faire donne une image plus naturel que le traitement HDR que j'employais auparavant.

Common Nighthawks, also known as Bullbats for the sound they make sound a little like a bull and they flight somewhat like bats, which I learned from one of The Bird Blogger readers Carl. during the day, they find the best place to roost that might have the best camouflage. In this case a treated log is close enough to a downed tree with bark which would definitely hide the bird during the day.
