Humid and the mosquitoes were eating me alive...
I wouldn't have to chase this evening to catch some incredible Nebraska views of this supercell that formed just to the north of Hastings Nebraska. The perfect sunlight cresting against this storm cell was perfect in every way. I knew I was in for a treat. Just a few blocks from home I set up shop!
We had a dying cell to our west creating a beautiful sunset and I would eventually get a few snaps of this. Though was pointing due east from my location on the outskirts of Kearney Nebraska. It had all of my attention. 4 Cameras in position for this event. Pointing due east I was watching these billowing thunderheads on the updraft and it was a sight to see.
I also knew then that this was going to produce come incredible lighting after dark. I was prepared and ready!

Oooohhh, que molesta eestooooy..!
Bueno, al grano: como muchas de uds. para vender mis accesorios asisto a ferias o dejo algunas piezas en tiendas.
Hace ya varios años comencé a vincularme con tiendas, y debo decir que la primera experiencia fue fatal.... al principio todas las cuentas en orden sobre lo vendido; reposición de stock; fecha para la próxima reunión.... el sgte. mes mil llamadas y a final del mismo mes alguna repuesta poco convincente y así por un tiempo.
De las personas que ahí dejábamos cosas estaba una amiga y un par de conocidas, y cuando ya pasó un rato en que ni las llamadas eran contestadas, una de las chicas se encontró a mi amiga y le dijo que la tienda había cerrado porque la dueña se iba a Estados Unidos.
Súper grata experiencia: buscar a algún familiar o amigo para que nos entregaran las cosas... ATROZ.
Pero el show debe continuar, o no?
De ahí pase a una tienda en la llevo bastante tiempo, y jamás ha habido el más leve inconveniente.
Y a principios del año pasado mi amiga (eterna compañera de las lides empresariales a medio andar, ella es la mejor!) fue a Valpo. a dejar cosas, y aprovechó de llevar mis collarcitos.
En una tienda de 'diseño independiente' que prefiero no nombrar le juraron que el 15 de cada mes nos enviarían estados de movimientos de las cosas...
Pasó todo este tiempo en que jamás contestaron a nada, ni a ella ni a mi.
Hace un mes apróx. le mandaron las cosas en un papel de envolver inmundo pegoteado y 'por pagar' en Turbus... Sus artículos venían algunos muy sucios, y otras sencillamente no venían; mis collares llegaron sanos.
En resumen: PÉSIMO.
También desde principios del año pasado dejo cosas en una tienda en cierto barrio sobrevaluado de Stgo.... sólo aros.
Les dí mil veces mis datos para depósitar tanto en persona como por mail.
Jamás me contestaron nada; sólo yendo en persona me entregaron dinero de las ventas.
En febrero envié 15 pares de aros, y otra vez todos mis datos.
Desde marzo para delante noté que en la web la tienda desapareció. Ya daba todo por perdido... hasta que en el noticiero de algún canal en una nota sobre este dichoso sector mostarban las misma p*ta tienda pero con otro nombre....
Y por una casualidad parecida me encontré con el correo nuevo donde consulté que habia de mi situación y tampoco contestaron...
Mi cuñada tuvo que viajar así que le pedí pasar a retirar todo y sanseacabó... pero nooooo, me llama ayer una encargada diciéndome que había mucho público como para atender a esto, que sería imposible entregar nada hasta el lunes; que no, jamás han recibido correo alguno ni en la antigua ni en la nueva dirección...
WTF..??!!!
Ni siquiera pretendía que me entregaran el dinero por lo que se haya vendido, sólo entregar las cosas que quedaban para olvidarme de ellos...!!!
Qué pasa con las tiendas..?? piensan que los simios con los que trabajan no hay para que ser responsables o qué cuernos..??
A uds. cómo es ha ido en estas cosas..??, mejores experiencias??
Aaahhh, en verdad me molestó esa llamada con tono de inocencia absoluta ¬¬

There are quite many passes between the central and eastern California that crosses over the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The most famous one being the Tioga Pass that crosses over to Yosemite National Park. While on one of our road trips to the eastern Sierra, we decided to check out a new pass, which we haven’t yet tried. The name of this pass is the Sonora Pass, and it crosses the Sierra Nevada mountain to the north of Yosemite Valley.
As usual with all mountain passes, there seems to be a river, and its called the West Walker River. North of Bridgeport is the starting point of the Pass. It starts out sticking close to the river before entering the Stanislaus National Forest and following the Stanislaus River. Columns of the giants is a beautiful short hike nearby to stretch your legs before you get to Donnell vista. At Donnell Vista, you get a beautiful view of the Donell Lake, which is a humanmade lake created due to the construction of Donnell's dam.
I took this shot at the east entry point of the Sonora pass alongside the West Walker River before we entered the actual mountain pass. I am not sure what exactly makes this composition work for me, but I liked the shrubs in the foreground, the sliver of reflection that is the river, and the foothills of the Sierra at a distance.
We have been driving around in beautiful Lofoten today in the sunshine- photographing all the nice mountain peaks, harbours, beaches, some birds and not least the large amounts of wildflower meadows everywhere.
They mostly contain these yellow meadow buttercups (Ranunculus acris) and white plants from the parsley family, in addition to some purple and pink flowers in between.
