American Boeing 757 200

I'm a fan of a seventies colourscheme. Maybe not for a carpet, or wallpaper, but certainly for accessories. Muted or mustardy yellows and dark reds are 70s-ish, to my mind (though, I wasn't alive in the 1970s so I don't know if it's accurate).

Aircraft type: Westland SA.341D Gazelle HT.3

Construction number: 1914

Military serial: ZB627

Civilian registration: G-CBSK

Name: Ginger

Ginger was procured as an RAF training aircraft with the military serial ZB627. Flying for the first time on 18 May 1982, Ginger was delivered to the Royal Air Force on 13 July of the same year, and served primarily with 2FTS at RAF Shawbury, the RAF’s rotary training establishment in Shropshire. He also served with 7 Squadron based at RAF Odiham in Hampshire, used for night vision reconnaissance sorties, painted in an olive drab colourscheme - the only Gazelle to wear such a scheme.

He was flown back to RAF Shawbury on 17 September 1997, though not for continued service but for storage and onward sale to a military or civilian customer. Ginger was purchased by London Helicopter Centres Ltd at Redhill in Surrey and registered as G-CBSK on 6 June 2002. He was then sold to Knoland Aviation Ltd, before finally being purchased by Falcon Aviation at Bourne Park and registered to them on 2 November 2011. London Helicopter Centres repainted Ginger back in to his 2FTS colourscheme, in which he has remained throughout his civilian life.

XX307. Could'nt keep up with this Hawk (handheld at 400mm). But despite quality, I liked the colourscheme.

On the River Thames in London, the former Royal Navy ship HMS President is painted in ‘dazzle camouflage’ by German artist Tobias Rehberger as part of the international World War One commemoration in 2014. Dazzle was a style of camouflage of the WW1 period designed not to hide the ship but to disorient any potential attacker

My new favourite building is the hospital in Kalisz. I travelled especially to see it after seeing a picture of it on Flickr. The picture showed it as an all concrete structure.

As we drove towards it, I was disappointed to see that it had been clad in an orange to salmon colourscheme.

Once we got closer though, I realised how fantastic it looked.

Even better was being able to pass through a service tunnel to take these pictures from the inside.

It is a perfect circle and quite disconcerting to stand in the middle of...

Arriving from SABCA Charleroi after overhaul. Ex X-Tiger/XTM 2021 special colourscheme.

Flowerville is Rosalie Quinlan's next quilt. This is a block from the quilt given to us at Indulge in Stitches. Can't wait for the quilt to be released in a BOM format. Will probably use this block as a cushion cover though. I like the varigated thread effect, but for a whole quilt would like to stick to the colourscheme suggested.

Colourscheme care of Team Lotus Formula 1 team of the 60s. I'm something of a racing fanatic (but no NASCAR). ;)

I couldn't find any more lights; I know I've got two more kicking around somewhere. The photos didn't turn out as they should, but they best I could get while at my folks' place this weekend.

it may (or not) be that the former state monopoly postal service has been privatised (a la Telecom Australia) but they definitely have a single major competitor with a different colourscheme. Yeah I think I just made this photo with the bike enthusiasts in mind..
