Not what I would normally upload, but a work friend decided to have us all round for steak and chips (DAMN he can cook). But I decided to shoot the whole night using just my Holga and Sprocket Rocket. Here are the ones I liked, found interesting and just found aesthetically pleasing. Its something that I feel Ive seen before but never shot before, reminds me of a few different photographers work. Variety of films used inc' Neopan, XP2, and Portra (I think) with the addition of the Lomo Colour Splash film.

Taken at Stratford Upon Avon Butterfly Farm this butterfly was lovely, it worked better in black and white, the colour of the flower was too pretty to keep in black and white however.

“4me4you” visits Lazarides Gallery showcasing Katrin Fridriks

Lazarides Gallery.>.A conceptual painter, Katrin Fridriks addresses controversial scientific innovation, including genetic research and cloning. Her work features amorphous colour splashes on finely crafted materials and sleek surfaces. Her chromatic constructs give the impression of protracting, like infinitely expanding micro-universes or cellular colonies undertaking an orgy of binary fission.

Katrin presents her abstract paintings on three-dimensional, modernist sculptural forms. The combination brings to mind the higher realms of physics, beyond the comprehension of most mortals: concepts such as "wave-particle duality", "harmonic oscillation", and "linear functionals". She cites ancient calligraphy and street-level graffiti among her influences.

One of my aims of doing a 365 project was to think outside the box and try things I'd never attempted before, so today I thought I'd have a go at something that really isn't me. Knowing that this weeks theme was Creative Colour I'd thought that might get me started with regard to thinking outside the box.

I thought I'd try to create an effect which could look like planets receding into the darkness of space. Judge for yourself if you think I've succeeded!

Enjoyed every second of this photo shoot, converted my dining room into a temporary studio very pleased with the results. Nicky, my model is expecting a boy, so the blue in the colour splash images represent this...loads of ideas not all shown, including the much copied "Demi Moore Shot".
