Hope all my friends are staying warm and safe! Yes, it does get cold in Texas, too. :) It's not as crazy as the NE but it is a brisk 23 degrees (F) tonight. (No snow.)
When visiting a gift shop I always keep an eye out for something to shoot when the weather is cold outside, and the unusual frosted style marbles looked appealing.

In honor of the cold weather we've got here in the Bay Area, as well as across the country, I thought I'd go back to some backyard winter birds from my trip back east. This is a white-breasted nuthatch perched on the feeder pole.

Here in New York we have extremely cold winters and January is one of our coldest months, so I thought it would be fun to do pictures that express "coldness". I do live in a part of the world where it is cold. This was a chilly morning. We had frost overnight but the sun was shining brightly the next morning when I arrived at the barn to see my ponies.
