Coffee Table made with Carved Screens
A vintage Chinese screen is the center and feature of this newly crafted coffee table. The screen is designed in geometric patterns surrounding a lovely curved carvings. The body of the coffee table is minimal to focus attention on the carved screen. The legs end in the traditional Chinese horse hoof design. Table includes the glass top. Medium brown finish.

GONE - It's quite rare that we take in reproductions, but some things are irresistible. This is a newly made repro of a classic mid-century modern piece, executed very well, particularly when it comes to the glass. This is heavy, thick safety glass cut carefully to the unusual shape required.

What better way to have Penrose Tiles in your home than with actual tiles! It's a coffee table instead of, say, a bathroom floor - a wise compromise between my wife and I for my first tiling project ever.
The coffee table is not mine. But I chose the tile-design and embedded the hand-cut tiles myself and then restained the table.
Penrose tiles have fascinating mathematical properties. I could go on about them for quite some time. I won't.
This wonderfully crafted coffee table is specifically made to fit in with the décor of a contemporary home although it does have a slight modern feel to it. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - This table is just to die for. It's so rare that we get tables in this surfboard/banana-shape. It's even rarer to find one that's local Singapore vintage. You can see how well it works with the genuine mid-century European chair on the right (as well as the lovely mid-century reproduction on the left.)

While taking a break at work I noticed a pallet and had a vision. This is how it turned out.This coffee table is refined and also rustic. Wood pallets are everywhere and are mostly dicarded after one use. If you have a table saw, bar clamps and a few basic hand tools you could build something like this. As for the table top after glued togother take it to a cabinet shop to get planed. Mosts shops will do this for very little to nothing. Good luck!!!!
The night before you trim the tree, you take a string of Christmas tree lights and place them on a glass coffee table and just start experimenting.
