I also had a bagel, cause supposedly they're the best in town, and wouldn't now cause i'm not a big bagel fan, but it was ok. But then again, you can never go wrong with nutella ;)

With an Iced Americano and a cinnamon roll. Yum!

This now defunct coffeeshop in the Red Light District was popular with bikers, including the Amsterdam Hell's Angels.

One of the many, many coffeeshops in Amsterdam.

I love shooting train stations.. wouldn't know why, but I feel there's some magic in them.

This time was so cool cause I travelled 30 min. away from my destination to go for a cup of coffee.. gosh.. only I do this sort of things :P

new in the coffeeshop, made by a local baker, and even better than they look

Very nice upscale coffeeshop around for a few years around Wilson/Clark in Uptown. I noticed in 2015 or so it'd become a different cafe; never heard about its closing. Photo taken in 2010 during a bike ride along all of Clark Ave. in Chicago, north to south.

A small coffee shop at a small lane. Its characteristics is "fairtrade".

The photographs in this album were taken during research visits to Amsterdam, 2017-19. This is not a complete or planned collection, but rather, a selection of random shots which were taken when I noticed coffeeshops on my travels around the city.

Beautiful coffee/pastry shop; grabbed a mint hot chocolate after chilly ride to Wrigley; robot in prior shot walking past window next to blond woman

Bottoms are impressed with the name VICTOR. The Victor Insulator Company in Victor, NY originally made ceramic insulators for telephone and power lines and I believe these mugs were a sideline begun in the 1940's--but the company is no longer in business so no more of these are being produced.

Nastassja and I wound up working at Wolves today and I had 2 cameras with me (my Nikon DSLR and my iPhone 4s) and I took advantage of the space to take some photos.

What surprised me is how good the iPhone 4s' camera is.

Day 69. working. big awesome squishy chair at Higher Grounds.
