This rhodesian ridgeback was SO friendly, dying to play with the other dog. Love how his tail is a blur!

This banner was created by S3 pupils at Dunbar Grammar as part of their coursework on the Suffragettes. It was displayed at 'The Big Coffee Morning'. Here, Sarah Cowie from East Lothian Museums Service (left) and Ruth Fyfe from East Lothian Archives Service pose with the banner at their stall.

Grantham House, Grantham. Dating from the C13th, the house as seen today is largely that of the remodelling carried out for Ann Cust between 1730-7. Owned by the National Trust, the house is grade 1 listed. Despite the close proximity to the town centre, the site appears to retain the "Country Residence" which it once enjoyed. Guests have included Cardinal Wolsey and Margaret Tudor (daughter of Henry VII). Formerly rented out as a home, the Trust now lease the property to St Wulframs Church.

This mini-procession took place at The Big Coffee Morning in Port Seton. The men and women taking part carried banners and sang a Suffragette song.

The person who normally does the flowers for the tables at Coffee Morning was away today, so I picked some from the garden and took my shortest Champagne glasses to put them it.
We had a good time, with many regulars and a couple of new people, and everybody seemed to be enjoying a good old natter along with their drinks and home made cakes. (The photo was obviously taken before they all arrived!).
Afterwards, and again in the afternoon, I spent some time sorting out a lot of the stuff which has accumulated in the store room and shed. We will have a lot to go to the car boot sales or charity shops, once the rest of the committee have ok'd it. Jan (in the photo - just about) helped me after coffee morning, and I was happy to go back later, as Mike was away for the day at a course for church.
We had a morning of songs, stories and colouring with a chance for young borrowers to meet Peppa Pig.

The village hall coffee morning was pretty well-attended today - 14 people not counting committee members. The lemon drizzle cake was the best I've ever tasted, so light and fluffy!
After lunch, Mike & I decided to do one of the walks from our book of short walks in the Cotswolds, and went to Ozleworth, a tiny place near Dursley. It was quite a short walk (about 2 miles) but was much better than it looked in the book! We both enjoyed being somewhere different, and there were interesting things to enjoy all the way round - even an unplanned detour ;-)
On January 18, SIWA recognized the top 3 earners for the 2016 Fall Bazaar, plus we had a panel speaker discussion about multicultural student education in Korea.
We'll know when spring has properly come, because I may leave my hi-viz coat at home! It was a bit misty this morning, but soon warmed up. I cycled over to Southrop Village Hall for the coffee morning, after collecting someone's prescription to drop at the pharmacy later on. I had a meeting with someone from Southrop, about her joining the magazine editor's support group, and she's very willing and capable of organising things, so that was good. She and her husband are very 'can do' type of people, and a great asset to their village.
I then cycled into Fairford to do a few errands, before getting home for lunch. Mike had been out to Fairford too, on his bike, and is feeling much better today - back to normal.
Much of the rest of the day was spent on magazine work, but also other admin and a tiny bit of tidying up in the garden. I have a bit of a cold starting, but don't feel too bad.
