I found this small spot behind giant tall ferns and thought of doing this simple concept with the tulle I brought with me. This only took me a few minutes to shoot since it was just beside the trail up the mountain. I find the most random locations like this and it triggers inspiration in me to create something with the space that I discovered. Experiencing new things and going places you have never been before can be a very powerful inspiration for everybody so I suggest to everyone to never stop exploring, take the trail that most people don't take and if you do you might be surprised at what you might discover with yourself. It is human nature to wander, don't be bound in your seat and stay in a single place forever. Go out there and see the world. It doesn't have to be grand, you can always start small and just go outside to walk a little, it could be at the park or up a mountain.

Anna and Vien were here for the weekend!! it was so packed and so much fun!! :)
we went to Rockport for a shoot with Lesley on Saturday and used her beautiful house (the same as the previous photos i took of her). Her friend Kiki did the makeup again!! I have SO many more digital, instant, and film to go through and load!
I'm really struggling to create anything I want to lately. Being so restricted with time, and my inability to travel to different locations has resulted in feeling stale and in some way I'm feeling resentment towards photography. I really can't wait until I'm able to break out of this. Until all the things holding me back are finally non-existent and I can create freely.

These butterflies had just emerged from their cocoons and hung there for ages before finally flying off.
I loved that movie... and I love these acceptions of the word...

After a caterpillar reaches its full growing stage, it will stop feeding and some types of caterpillars will spin a protective cocoon of silk around themselves before beginning its chrysalis stage. This cocoon stage usually takes place during the fall and it is not until the Spring that a butterfly will emerge. This picture shows you how the finished cocoon stage looks before the next cycle happens.
Inside the cocoon, a chrysalis will not move but many fascinating changes take place. The body of the caterpillar gets broken down inside the cocoon and after a few days or a couple of months, depending on the type of butterfly, its shape becomes apparent.
