EINDHOVEN, Glow voor kinderen - Voor het zesde jaar op rij organiseert CultuurStation een project voor leerlingen in het primair onderwijs en gaan ruim 2.500 leerlingen van 40 basisscholen in Eindhoven dit jaar COCONS maken. Met verschillende materialen en technieken bewerken de leerlingen per klas een stuk kippengaas welke uiteindelijk omgevormd wordt tot een reuze cocon van 2 meter hoog! Ruim 110 cocons, links zichtbaar op de foto, vormen samen het lichtkunstwerk van de Eindhovense scholen.
EINDHOVEN, Glow for kids - For the sixth time organised Culture Station a project for pupils in primary education and go more than 2,500 students of 40 elementary schools in Eindhoven this year making COCOONS. With different materials and techniques edit the pupils per class a piece of chicken wire which eventually transformed into a giant cocoon of 2 metres high! More than 110 cocoons together form the light art work of the Eindhoven schools.

Cracks in the chrysalis spread out like tiny snakes
That hiss a litany of rumors and mistakes
But I'm afraid their cause is fraught with futility
There is nothing more that they can take from me
Between the columns of Sint Janskerk in Schiedam, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman created Stadscocon (City Cocoon).
The artwork stands on historic ground in the church nave, which was finished in 1425. Organised by Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.
