Herbal & Floral Infusions to be used in hair and skin products

Once you’ve got cracked heels, your usual lotion can’t treat it, but there are simple solutions. There are many remedies for cracked heels just like the all-natural miracle worker, coconut oil. coconutoils.com/cracked-heels/

Brazilian Date Cookie made with Brazil nuts, coconut oil, dates, and black beans.

Sometimes you catch a scent that makes you feel warm inside. Like vanilla and spices, or a burning living room entertainment unit when your best friend fell asleep next to it with a lit cigarette. This is one of those - without the crumbling furniture. The scent lingers in the air long after you use it.

Poppyseeds and fresh-ground almonds added for exfoliation.

Cherries without the pits! A favourite amongst those who've tried it, the Very Cherry bar may appear rather plain but smells anything but. Sweet, ripe cherries will infuse the room AND your skin.

Fresh-ground almonds were added to help moisturize and exfoliate the skin.

I don't know about this...

Spring is here! It's time to empty the pantry and make room for new things. The blue corn meal has been sitting around forever waiting for its chance to shine. Here it serves as a canvas for a riot of market-fresh spring vegetables. Many thanks to My New Roots blog for inspiration.

Sugar-less, wheat-less, butter-less, egg-less...so what else is left of these cookies?! The good stuff, apparently. Carnival cookies from 101 Cookbooks' Super Natural Cooking are packed with dark chocolate, cacao nibs, popcorn, and peanuts. All held together with a mixture of banana, coconut oil, oat, and ground almond.

Yes, vegan.

The soap appears to have turned out nicely! Woohhoooo! The lavender scent from the essential oil is very strong at this point. I'm guessing it will mellow out a bit as it cures. I also wish I had added more ground oats, but I can do that in the next oaty batch I make. It sliced nicely and I'm very very pleased! I've got them on a rack curing now, they will cure for 4 to 6 weeks, then I can try some out! Wooohoooo!

I bought some goat's milk today to try in my next batch.....stay tuned :)

As soft on the eyes as it is on the skin, this Delicate Pear bar goes a long way. Though, I can't guarantee you won't spend more time sniffing this than actually using it - you could be the Lindsay Lohan of soap hoarders! This addiction, however, won't cause nosebleeds.

Apparently, nature provides everything we need to live and maintain the beauty of our skin for longer, so no wonder that the attention is drawn back to basics. Most skin care products contain chemical ingredients which can actually dry out the skin or cause allergic reactions, so why not opt for...

Here is view 1 of the legs upright. It takes a bit of adjustment to get them even and the ring in the middle. Once in place the weight of the top will keep things from moving.
