coming down from a walk by luk keng in the new territories in hong kong jack ran ahead and set the camera to speed shot whilst i held coco. 3 2 1 go! and he started shooting as she ran - and jumped - her way to him. i love the detail in her face...not an easy shot with the bright steps behind, and such a big jump....

Coco, our female Siamese cat, with some antiques in our living room. When I was growing up, our family had a male Siamese named Pretty Boy. So I have always loved Siamese cats.
Coco is here because she's cute and also Because I promised her 11 year old owner Marwa (my friend's daughter) that I will publish her on flickr.
As you can see below Coco fancies playing Gaelic football for Dublin.

Light: Large clamshell setup with the Elinchrom ELC 1000 through a large silver Beauty Dish with silver deflector from the front-top-side, which creates the high contrast in her face. Elinchrom ELC 500 with small strip box from the front-bottom-side, to lower the density of some shadows and to flatten the legs. Elinchrom ELC 500 through a large LiteMotiv Strip from the back. I measured the light with the Sekonic L-758DR.
Postprocessing: Some local adjustment curves, some painting, local cloning.

Coco belongs to our neighbor and is often neglected. We try to console her when we can. She is a barker! We have spoken with the owners but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Why do you have a dog if you are going to leave her alone most of the time?
Two portraits of Coco today... I wanted to take some pictures outdoors because lots of trees and flowers are blooming now, but I didn't have any time. I hope to do it on the weekend, I miss taking photos outside !

Coco is a young Pitt Bull that really enjoys her Friday outdoor adventures through the forest with me and a bunch of other dogs!
Here come more flower-y photos, this time with Coco :D She's wearing a dress that my godfather bought for me at the Jolie Doll shop in Paris! I have one more that I haven't shown you yet, but I don't know what kind of photo to take with it just yet.

My summer vacation has started and I'm trying to get in a dolly mood again - so far I've disassembled my diorama-shelf thing because it was collecting dust (the dolls are in a separate glass case on the wall anyway) and threw out some of the totally useless props that I have collected over the past 6 years. I still have a whole box full of chairs, flower crowns, old stock bodies etc. in my room, but it's nice to have it all at least a bit organized. Apart from that, I'm finally going to this sewing course with my mom! I was supposed to do it in January but we kept putting it off. I'm excited to finally properly learn how to use my sewing machine, because I've mostly been making all my doll clothes by hand until now.
