Coco is my favorite kitty I visit with where I volunteer at Friends for Life. Coco is looking for a nice home where she can be the only cat.
Coco with Sophie's (my birdie) scalp. I'm loving her as a brunette, and I'm planning on getting some dark brown/auburn mohair for her!

Coco is my brother's dog who I kidnap frequently. We both love the simple things in life like long walks on the beach. She is endlessly happy and good natured. So fast, many of my photos of her are blurred. I like this one with the reflection and light on the sand.

Well today was day 2 for having Coco as my foster. This little girl is afraid of everything...especially humans.
The two areas I wanted to work on today was socialization and walking on leash. And she made some great progress in each area.
Successes for the day:
Walked on leash without needing to stop every 30 seconds. And was able to walk at a much quicker pace. She is also able to enter and exit through the door with greater ease.
Tail wagging....this happened on multiple occasions...yippee.
Tail not always tucked between her legs.
Hanging out downstairs with me and the boyz on the couch, vs. hiding upstairs in one of the dog beds.
Showed me her belly on a couple of occasions looking for a scritch.
Being able to wonder about 15 feet away from me in an outside fenced in setting. She only did this a few times...but she is always at me heels when we are outside.
And the thing I am most proud of- her going to meet a stranger. It took a while before she eventually went over. But she did it, go some scritches, and was ready to follow her home. And the best part is the lady fell in love with Coco, and her and her husband have been considering another dog. So might be a potential adopter when she is ready for adoption!
She's a Dumbo Rat (note the ears, obvs). Her fur is a bit curly, especially on her torso. Curled whiskers, too.

Coco (foster) at the dog park today. She continues to make some wonderful progress. In my house, she has not only gone from fearful to comfortable...but now she is confident. She is trying to play with Harley, Buster and toys from time to time- and is always happy to chase my fingers. She also has developed an attitude when walking on leash...it is kinda funny.

Day 3 with foster Coco:
She continues to eat well...she really needs to pack on some weight.
She is now spending her time with either me or the boyz...vs. isolating herself upstairs.
She will now growl and bark to express her displeasure (did this 2 times today - once to get a child to back of, and the other to get Harley to back off). The volunteer that head her for a few days before me indicated she would move in for a bite without warning (however she would always inhibit herself, and not follow through). So I am happy she is learning to communicate with others more appropriately.
She is making some attempts to play with me. She has no interest in playing with dogs or toys yet, but she is can be engaged by trying to paw at my wiggling fingers.
Also turns out that she likes to give kiss...she has done this to me a few times.
She is also venturing a little further from me in the leash free park (I only take her into the section for small shy dogs)...usually nobody there, with the occasion human and dog coming in from time to time. She also approached a human again all on her own! She also has the opportunity to watch the other dogs people on the other side of the fence, without being overly intimidated.
We are also going to have to really concentrate on housebreaking. I wasn't sure if it was nerves, or she just hasn't had to hold if for any periods of time - but I am quite confident that she has never been house trained or pee pad trained in the past. So lots of visits outside, as she doesn't seem to ask to go out - and if she does...I haven;t figured out what that behaviour is.

This is Coco Chanel. She likes to play out by the pool. Coco is so sweet & smart. At only 10 months old she knows almost 12 words or more.
My sister Priscilla Starling brought her back from Ohio for me.
GIVE THE DOG A BONE — An unlikely star of Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Dante is a Xolo dog—short for Xoloitzcuintle—the national dog of Mexico. Nearly hairless and missing some teeth, Dante has trouble keeping his tongue in his mouth. But he’s a loyal companion to Miguel, an aspiring musician who hopes to follow in the footsteps of his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Featuring the voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez as Miguel and Benjamin Bratt as de la Cruz, “Coco” opens in theaters Nov. 22, 2017. ©2017 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.
