Coco after the new pic-fic shoot. He is still waiting for me to start story boarding it, editing it, and uploading it. Wait for me. He's so patient.

I took numerous pictures of the water and landscape of Coco Cay, both on our approach and as we left the island on the tender boats.

Coco owner: Yuki. She's a Momo from Dollpamm. She's so damn cute!!

This is a glyph from the CoCo Flowerfont.

CoCo Flowerfont is a collaborative photofont project created by participants at FontConf at the CoCoMSP workspace in St. Paul, MN on 6.19.10.

The softly scented letter you see here is part of an flower-alphabet that was created by about 40 people under the direction of alphabetician Chank Diesel. An open source OpenType version is in the works, but for now, here is a pretty letter portrait for you.

Coco is wearing a dress, scarf, and leg warmers from FakeBlondie. Thanks to Linda and her mom! I adore this set!! Coco loves it too!

Another picture of the bright blue waters off of Coco Cay. This was at the end of the day. Note the increase of waves. Although the ocean swells were not as high on the evening that we left Coco Cay as thety were the day we were first supposed to visit the island, there were strong winds coming in from the north by the time our day at Coco Cay was ending and we rocked along all night the last night of the cruise.

Coco reminding us to take time to smell the roses....uh...tulips!

There is joy in adopting an older dog. Coconut and Cooper were proof of that.

When Cooper first came to my home at the age of nine, he hid behind furniture, in closets, and under the bed. He was very timid and fearful of both dogs and people. Slowly he came out of his shell, spending his days lying on the sofa in my home office. Three years ago Cooper was diagnosed with a very aggressive carcinoma that had affected his liver. He was given a few months to live. The cancer never returned. Instead, at the ripe old age of 16, Cooper’s spine started to deteriorate. He crossed the rainbow bridge on July 26, 2010.

Coconut came to me as a foster in 2000. He was 9 years old. He did not arrive without issues but immediately showed me his trust and comfort in my home. It was only a matter of a few weeks before I knew that he had to stay. Coco was slowing down the past few years, but remained healthy for his advanced age. In early August 2010, his health suddenly began to fail. He could no longer walk and no longer had quality of life. He crossed the rainbow bridge just 15 days after his “little brother,” Cooper.

Please consider adopting an older dog the next time you are thinking about adding a dog to your family. A little love from you can go a long way in giving a senior dog a long and happy life.
