Used 'virtual' yellow filter. Great advantage of having interchangable lenses is posibility to mount a real one.
Slowly but surely, I am considering replacement of the RX100 in my backpack to either a6000 or OM-D E-M10. I just miss few options.
And I definitely miss analog. I promised myself to shot more film this autumn but the RX100 handy candy just dominated me :)
I was hoping it would clear enough to see the Neowise comet on this evening. It didn't, but I wasn't too disappointed.

Slid to bring out the cloudy but charming and unique character of San Fran. I love that there are HUGE roses everywhere I was in California, Santa Clara especially.

It has been said that optical astronomy from the surface of the earth is like bird watching from the bottom of a lake. My view of this partial solar eclipse phenomena was completely obscured by clouds for most of the event and this image was photographed through a muddling layer of cloud. The cluster of sunspots near the center of the sun adjacent to the lunar umbra was designated as AR3842. Its twisted magnetic polarity was highly energetic creating an X-class solar flare that will likely produce geomagnetic storms and auroras within the next several days. 02 October 2024.
