The sun was in and out of the clouds for a while on the C&TS photo freight, especially here at Cascade Trestle. I shot one runby from the ground in sunshine; the clouds rolled in again while I stepped away from the photo line to launch the drone for the next one. Here we see 484 stepping across Cascade; if you look closely, you'll see some of the crowd hiding in the trees on the right side.

One of the first photos I took since I started more seriously with phorography. I did a little editing to improve the look and uploaded again.
Ok, so this isn't really what it looked like, but the clouds were pretty great and this is certainly what it felt like. Thank goodness for the trunk camera -- everyone should have one! (Actually, while it's a couple generations outdated I've not seen anything with as fast a shutter speed in an SLR.)
We had a small storm blow through early this morning leaving a skiff of snow on Timpanogos and a hint of rain at my house. Taken from my front porch.
A redo of an old photo at Docker of a Pendolino passing on a disappointing dull afternoon maybe 10 years ago.

Heading up Mount Peck a stream of clouds heads up the saddle between Peck and the Monarch Crest. If you look closely there is a faint rainbow on the left. Taylor Mountain and Mount Aetna are a couple of the peaks enshrouded in clouds in the distance.
Was hoping for a great sunrise last week , but i saw lots of clouds instead.. I walked around and found this little kid.
Then I realized that I'm quite happy about him, and that I admire him. He came from Bohol very early in the morning to assist his father in delivering these firewoods...
We watched these kits play for an hour this past Friday and we were the only ones there at that time! It was a cloudy day with showers off and on but that didn't stop these little ones from having fun! this photo was taken at Bombay hook national wildlife refuge in Delaware, USA!
I got the idea for this image from Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/stevegarfield/9257877708/in/gallery...). I hadn't had a chance to find a setting like the one in that image for some time, but I was able to ask a couple who were enjoying pinot noir to use what glasses they had to capture an image with the Willamette Valley and countryside beyond. I was trying to find a good balance with the aperture size in having it wide enough to focus only on the wine glasses but also closed down enough so that a little bit of the countryside beyond was still in focus.
