Decided to take a walk around the river Dysynni here in Tywyn. The forecast the day before said heavy rain and showers but as you can see, the weather turned out much better than expected.
Still plenty of water left in the fields from the rain recently.
This is multi-shot panorama from the top of the North Downs stitched in CS6 and finished in Lightroom 5.3. If I stare at the image, I swear the clouds are moving!
I like the softness of Blencathra lit up in the distance and the reflection of the clouds in Derwent Water. :-)
Whitehouse tunnel is 191 yards (175m) long and has a towpath running through it. This added a little extra spice to our walk!
I was waiting for having some sunlight, but the day was cloudy. However, the pattern of the clouds in the sky was very interesting that afternoon, so I concentrated the composition on it. "Drama in the sky" could be an alternative title.

I am reaching the upper slopes of Glas Tulaichean now, and am just below the low base which hangs around me, and shrouds the summits other mountains across the distant Glens.
Glas Tulaichean is my 5th Munro of the season and the 28th in total, bringing me to a Munro completion rate of near enough 10%. The mountain stands at 1051 meters (3448 feet) and is the last one I will do as I have now moved away from Scotland and back to my roots in South Yorkshire as the pull of the Grandchildren was just too strong.
This capture was taken when I arrived at Max-Eyth-See on Sunday morning. The sun was still fighting to find a way through the clouds and about one hour later it was successful, even if it was only a short victory.
The ranks of cowls on CN has dwindled to 81 from a fleet of 200+ less than a decade ago. Getting two (or more) in the same paint on the same train is getting pretty hard considering the remaining C40-8Ms only comprise three percent of CN's fleet.
Glad it was cloudy today, as high-sun would have killed this shot.
Winter is at its "hardest" right now, a strange winter, we haven't seen a real winter yet, it's snowed, it's rained, it's been a bit cold and then warm days.
