From Mount Dandenong, Victoria, Australia.

I got some different colors that morning..

I saw the road sign on my way from Flagstaff to New Mexico and I pulled off the 40 on to the old Route 66 and into Winslow Arizona - and yes I found the 'corner' and yes I sang the song to myself - trying to change the words from 'its a girl my lord in a flatbed ford ' to 'its a girl my lord in a white mustang' - did not quite work.

Loved Winslow - its got such atmosphere . I decided to stay in the old railway hotel built in 1930 - La Posada - wow, you have to go - one of the last great railway hotels designed by Mary Jane Colter where everyone from movie stars to cowboys used to stay as everybody would stop at Winslow either on the train or for a fuel stop on the old airplanes on the way to LA. The hotel was right next to the railway - mostly commerical trains now - so walked out from the lobby onto the tracks and to the most beautiful sunset. It has been lovingly restored and one of the coolest places you will ever stay.

From the Market.

Under construction.

It could be a while.

The walkway is planned to be open later in 2024.

The Sunrise just outside Hornsea on the 20th December 2015

The clouds were excited today.

After a day of snorkeling in Hanauma Bay and Shark's Cove followed by a visit to Waimea Valley, I drove west along the North Shore to find a nice place to watch the sunset. I hear a lot of people complain that Oahu is too crowded - and it can be. However, if you are a little adventurous, you can find beaches like this (Mokuleia Beach) and have them almost entirely to yourself! The only company I had was a few local families who were fishing and by the looks of it, planning on having bonfires after dark (I did't stay around that long). A beautiful end to a fantastic day!

Another one of the sunset over the flooded fields in Muchelney.

there must be the light.

After many attempts, I managed to stumble upon one of my first lightning photos.
