On the radar, this storm looked like a repeat of the storms a couple of days before. It wasn't though - it was mostly a line of rain, with some embedded, and very hard to locate, storm cells. There was no mistaking the front of the line though, kicking up dust in the very high winds preceeding it, before soaking the landscape for hours. 1 December 2023.

My favorite place in Holiday Island. every trip we visit the lake. I remember taking photos with my wife the first trip there, we were still living in different states at the time. I never wanted the sight of her or this amazing view to ever end. The vacation home means different things to each of us. Her childhood memories, and my memories of us.

birdwatchers & cloudwatchers -- Similarites........
someone told me recently of how there are a group of folks that keep an eye out for all manner and different types of clouds - and record sightings/photo doc them, etc .... in similar manner of the habits of some birdwatchers
...interesting ...
occasionally i will take the time to photo doc. some that catch my eye.
As do many, i find it fascinating how the differences in light and even slight movements in the atmosphere may keep one attentive to the show - especially at dawn & dusk
