A cumulus cloudscape over Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia

Wetter in Süddeutschland

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. -- Rabindranath Tagore

I blogged about this photo here --> Cloudscapes

Clouds over Baldwinsville, New York on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at sunset.

In which I snag the telephoto out of a friend's camera bag.

I love a fiery sky. What am I saying, I love any cloudy sky!

Shot at the Eastgate Shopping Center in Marietta. I cropped the stores out of this one. Shot it with my Sony RX100. Made it more dramatic in PhotoToaster and Aviary.

Cloudscape above my Essex home. I thought this to be of unusual appearance.

HDR - 9 exposures (photomatix 3.2.8, cs 3.0); Used newest version of Photomatix and like the results a bit better. Removes the original exif data though - shot with a Nikon D300.

Another evening of some incredible stormscapes coming north out of north central Kansas in to southeast Nebraska that evening....

But as I turned to do a 180... We had the a dying storm cell coming from the west. Still no rain for us since mid June and it has been hot and dry.

Sunset light against this dying storm cell was just jaw dropping. The incredible color from the sunset was just glowing against this mammatus cloudscape. It was painting this Thunderset, and truly it was a sight to see a slice of mother natures magic in Nebraska.
