The sea was behind me as I looked inland at the beach to capture this wonderful diagonal line of clouds

I stole the title from the comment of John of Witney (forgive me).

We had some impressive clouds over the Peloponnese coast this afternoon, so I pulled out my tripod and composed my first HDR photo for six months, thinking I would like to see clouds with the HDR treatment.

I used all the defaults in Photomatix, so you HDR gurus out there, give me some guidance.

Nice late afternoon clouds.

Sunset over the Caribbean, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize.

A layer of high clouds and a number of low puffy clouds made for an interesting sunset.

Another beautiful sunset casts it's magical glow high over the mountains near Tucson Arizona.

I grabbed a quick panorama while teaching at Whitby on Monday. The group were blessed with a really stunning sunrise and the colours away from the direction of the sun were so soft and gentle with wonderful shapes in the clouds.

I have made a panorama of the sun rise over the piers, but to be honest, I am finding the really bright colours a bit garish and prefer the tones in image such as this. It is also much easier to control the contrast when pointing the camera away from the rising sun itself.

Wonderful clouds from Sandakphu top - 8:00 AM - 1/11/2011

I saw this cool cloudscape at Mawnan Smith beach whilst on a walk down to Swanpool. The cat added a nice bit of colour. Worth a look in Lightbox.
