My favourite trees in the world. Though maybe I should travel a bit more :)
Stark in Winter, lush in Summer. Also a nice foreground when we get a stormy sky and these amazing cumulus congestus (sorry, cloud nerd that I am) formations.

After my third trip in as many days attempting to get a sunset over a wheat field, I knew it would be another failure with cloud on the horizon - the ones overhead were quite pretty, after some showery rain today
Over the Tasman Sea. The D-Lux 3 is a handy little camera to have around on flights. Amazing sun and clouds over the Tasman en route from Melbourne to Wellington earlier today. Compartment to myself. I listened to music and watched this go by - which after 30 hours travel, was pretty much all I *could* do :)
Taken on the morning of 28 July. Eventually the skies became overcast. Taken 28 July.
Picture of the Day

At the end of Habourside Drive overlooking Northwest Creek in Fairfield Harbour, North Carolina on a cold and windy January evening.
A day for cloudscapes, as bad weather slowly moved towards Dungeness from the direction of Folkestone, taken from Denge Marsh Road, just before the Gully.
Early morning in Washington County while out looking for owls and raptors, the sky decided to put on a show of it's own.
Taken from Highstreet Mall, where the chilly wind was very strong so that my tripod could not be used and I have to hand hold my camera, Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
