Storms have sinced past and I'm in a parking lot outside the gates of Dayton's International Airport. The annual airshow is about to kick off.
After a long dry spell we finally have some rain! Most of the day the sky has been full of dull flat clouds but we got some interesting shapes in the sky this evening, so I stopped off on my way home to snap a few.

Noctilucent Clouds (NLC) Display over Edmonton, AB. Timelapse of 401 images (2.5 sec exposure per frame), rendered at 6 fps in 720 HD. 15-28mm Canon EOS (T3i) kit lens at f/5.6.
The display was about 35 degrees wide and about 7-8 degrees high. The "UFO" in the video is actually the Edmonton Police Helicopter (HAWKS). They always seem to appear in my photos. Guess it's time for me to leave the hood! =(
Shot from 11:39 PM to 12:41 AM... Gnite! Bed.. Finally! My sweet bed!

Summer thunderheads always facinated me, they are just as magnificent viewing from on the ground as they are while your flying.
The butterfly bushes in the back yard are blooming and are a magnet for butterflies. This is a male Clouded Sulphur. Larval plants are clover, alfalfa and other legumes.
RAW, PS Elements.
I had seen photos of these clouds before so when we were in the Tetons and I spotted them, I was really excited. AFAIK, these types of formations don't occur where I live.
