Crystal Springs along 280 at 92

As part of the Augusta Photography Festival, we went on a photography workshop-cum-cruise along the historic Augusta canal sponsored by the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area. Instructors were Vennie Deas-Moore, Frank Lazenby and Dwain Shaw. I enjoyed seeing and photographing the entire canal in the surprisingly breezy weather on an otherwise humid night.

Strange and beautiful cloud....Quel nuage étrange et beau à la fois....! Somebody else see that lion....????

As the sunset faded a little, the clouds seemed to build, but laden with fire!

As the Blessing of the Woodford Hounds came to a close, clouds were rolling to Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill in Harrodsburg, KY.

Since the days of St. Hubert in the 7th century, it has been the custom of English and Irish fox hunting to "Bless the Hounds" on the day of the opening meet.

A portion of the invocation:

"Look kindly upon our earnest work, the labour of our hands, prompted by the honest concerns of our hearts.

And as the note of the horn rises and falls across Your hills may it enter our hearts and echo each time as praise."
