I have seen some of the most amazing clouds since I have lived in the Eastern Sierra, but I had never seen anything like this before! I stayed and shot it as it morphed into other shapes. These crazy lenticular clouds are formed by the winds coming over the area mountain ranges. Big Pine, CA
Most days after work I do an hour or two hike in the mountains. This was taken a mile from the truck, about 5 miles down the road from my house.
The sign of a furious lightning storm. The clouds tells us, through grooves and patterns, to be careful. Mother Nature again being familiar in her parenting ways.
This is my favorite- it was very different from the rest of my photos as the clouds appeared as fire around the lunar eclipse.
Right as the sun went down a number of these bright orange clouds appeared over the horizon. This photo was taken at one of the viewpoints for the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone else with a camera was photographing people or the bridge.

The clouds continue to grow and, unfortunately, get thicker after the sundown... But how is it possible for me to give up shooting in the blue hour!? The best thing I can do is to include the drifting clouds and windmills with decent reflection in the shot, and it turns out exactly what I want! :-)
p.s. we are quite lucky today... The breeze only blows over the clouds, not the windmill.

On our way back from dinner, we noticed how super cool the clouds were so I hopped out and got my shot for the day.
I thought it was time to add another Cloud texture to my set. :)
