Funnel Cloud west of Anson, TX. Took this facing north on HW180, I think we were around 15-20 miles west of Anson, TX. That one didn't touch ground, but only about an hour earlier there was an F2 on the ground a little farther north. My friend took some video, and you can easily see it spinning...

Clouds moving in at Dante's View, Death Valley

Last time I saw thunder this large or fast was in Hong Kong… whoa.

Taken aboard a Boeing 757 somewhere over Southern Utah. The large cloud looks like it's ready to engulf the smaller clouds below.

In a dark world, light becomes shadow.

Trail end of storm clouds moving through Chicago. These were the same ones that caused much damage in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas. Taken on the way home from work from the Ashland & Lake CTA station

Cloud gazing should be a national past time.

Clouds and deep blue sky.

Beautiful weather today so stopped off on the way home from todays wedding to grab a personal shot of the beautiful sky.

Mammatus clouds are clouds that have pouch at the bottom. Each such cloud can be as large as 1-3 kms in diameter. These clouds are usually seen after a thunderstorm.

Sweet cirrus clouds

Most days after work I do an hour or two hike in the mountains. This was taken a mile from the truck, about 5 miles down the road from my house.

Mt Rainier does it again. Clouds like these often mean that rain is on the way.

The sign of a furious lightning storm. The clouds tells us, through grooves and patterns, to be careful. Mother Nature again being familiar in her parenting ways.

This is my favorite- it was very different from the rest of my photos as the clouds appeared as fire around the lunar eclipse.

Even the clouds can't find a parking space!

Right as the sun went down a number of these bright orange clouds appeared over the horizon. This photo was taken at one of the viewpoints for the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone else with a camera was photographing people or the bridge.

The cirrus clouds were spectacular the other day.
