We now transition from the cruise to our cloud forest stay.

 

Our room at the Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge was the one to the left. What a view we had!

Our hotel had cabins high on a hill bordering on the cloud forest. In the late afternoons, the clouds rolled in. Inspiring!

A big flower Lepanthes, found from 2200 to 3000 meters high. Flower is 10mm wide, plant is around 10 - 15 cms tall, usually seen with several flowers in a buch

Lepanthes, 15 cms tall plant, 5/6 mm wide flower, found around 3000 meters hight, moderate - high luminosity, some inches above the ground on old oak trunks. In situ shot.

a warmer growing lepanthes from columbia. The flower stays open for only a day. :(

This was fantastic. 40 mph. 1/4 mile. 150 feet high about the valley. Priceless. There were about 16 ziplines at this place. 2 of them were very long like this one.
