Shot just after sunset from my parking spot at work. What a view!
From left to right you can see LaGuardia Airport and all of Manhattan.
Life is full of surprises....
I set the alarm for Silly O' Clock yesterday having the intentions of Visiting Berwick Lighthouse, I drove into the town and to the Pier only to see that it was closed off and is still being restored. After a bit of Thinking, I decided to head to Cocklawburn. I still had doubts, as I had only recently been there for sunset and there are a lot of shots from the place from me..
I drove along the coast and dawn was looking very bland. I had doubts about even going now.. But I held out and waited to see what would happen. I got down to the beach and the tide was low, there was too much cloud cover and the temperature was low.
I was really ready to head home but I took a few shots and the clouds broke before sunrise which gave a beautiful red sky and I found a few new rock formations, too. All in all It was a worthwhile trip and I came away with my favourite set of shots to date..
many thanks for viewing
Out yesterday with Pauls Pix 53 and ianbartlett for a 12 mile circular walk from Hastings to Fairlight.
We had lunch in Fairlight churchyard, and as usually happens I didn't take many photos after lunch, on our walk back to Hastings.
In the morning we didn't see a single ship, but as you can see, we did in the afternoon.
It was a wierd and yet strangely exciting feeling standing right under the edge of the storm...and I got my phone thoroughly soaked...
Good morning to all my Flickr friends - I hope you have a great day. Vermont provided a brief light show this morning - my color dose for the day : ) cheers, paul
Competitors thermalling on the final Task (5) day out west of Mt Borah. The lift was weak, so the gaggles were tight at times, especially after Task windows opened.
An impressive set of clouds starts to build up over Sayville, NY today. My infrared converted Canon Rebet XT really makes the clouds look nice.

Walking out to catch the sunset, stopped half way out there, transfixed by the clouds, lit by the setting sun, lost half hour here cloud watching, sunset was rubbish anyhow too much wind.

i was lucky enough to have this spectacular view to stare at for a few hours today. It left me mesmerized!
This was taken few seconds before the nice little boat ride turn into a bad one...There was cones of water going up, high wind, bigger waves. We saw few trees that were broke because of the high wind, some place lost electricity, it was nasty.
