Very interesting cloud formations between Hanmer Springs and the coast in New Zealand

I was in the back yard just after sunset and spotted this cloud. It looked like a big bird, or maybe a pteradactyl.
Here's the view from Heyshott Down first thing this morning - looking across the Cocking Gap (seriously I didn't make that up!) towards Bepton. The buildings in the foreground are Horley Farm on Bell Lane and my house is somewhere behind this in the gloom!
Glorious August sunshine on The South Downs and mist in the valley below. Feels like Autumn is on the way...
The clouds are here
They aren't up in the sky.
I cupped them with my hands
and reached up high.
I said to these clouds,
"no more am I blind.
I have to see straight
and that will make me unkind."
Visions of blue,

A photo from warmer times. Our holiday on Mull in the summer. The clouds legged it as soon as I set up, not sure why or where they went. Not as famous as Skye but I think equally photogenic, this spot was tremendous with so many stunning views. A beautiful evening with a lovely rich golden light. Some seals came out to play just 10 feet from me as I was packing up.

I was looking at a sunset on the other side, then I turned around and saw these clouds.
I am using Canon 60D with Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM lenses.

I've been really busy the last couple months but I finally had a chance to head out and shoot; and I was lucky enough that the sky was filled with some amazing light over the La Jolla Shores. The tide was transitioning and pushing it's way to the shore; with each passing wave it filled the channel and caused the sea water to flow over the sandstone shoreline. The sky was glowing with some amazing blue and pink hues that made it look like I could stick a paper stick up in the sky and spin it like they do at the fair to get some cotton candy.

Palouse, Washington. Cumulus clouds dance across sky leaving dapple sunlight falling onto rolling hills of green wheat starts. Midday is best to capture this type of amazing shadow play on the Palouse landscape.
Yesterday's storm clouds moving into the Palouse. Today it's raining. Memorial day looks best for photos. That's when the clouds clear and we have epic sunsets. Also the sky is the clearest because the dust has settled from the rains.
