Sometimes my glasses catch rainbow colors coming off clouds that aren't really there. Something to do with the optics. These really were there and visible to the camera obviously...

Im Film Cloud Atlas (2012) wurde die Glasfassade der Ostseite des Dreischeibenhauses mit dem Haupteingang in eine Filmszene mit Darstellerin Halle Berry montiert, die das San Francisco der 1970er Jahre darstellen soll.
In the motion picture Cloud Atlas (2012), the glass facade of the east side of the "Dreischeibenhaus" with the main entrance was mounted in a film scene with actress Halle Berry, which is intended to represent San Francisco in the 1970s.
i was amazed at the combination of cloud along with the contrast of colors. This was taken looking east at the same location as stop!!! looking west!
The sky is always changing here. That is a mountain range beneath the cloud and it just got more stunning as it got darker.
Panorama shot from a short hiking trip some days ago.
The trip started out with sun and puffy white clouds and ended in thunder and pouring rain.
You can just see some of the dark clouds rolling in from the right side. Fifteen minutes later the rain started falling and we had to get off the mountain for fear of getting struck by lightning in the open landscape.

Seems we see more and more of this lately. There are natural aerosols that make up clouds and then there are the ones that we spray up there.
Today I was so lucky enough to see the rear phenomenan cloud iridescence. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!
I was out for another trip to the mountains & this time I chose a place called CHOPTA in Uttarakhand,North India. While doing a trek, I got this fascinating frame.
