tweeked those colors a bit, to show off the Love Cloud
Not had chance to get out with the camera recently so posted an image of the sunset at Langstone Harbour taken in September this year.
1/40th second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.

Difficult to imagine now but this whole area was an opencast mining site just 48 years ago.

The cloud was so big and reflective that it made the light appear to come from the west, during sun rise. It was pretty neat.
I set out to take a sunset photo, but found that a bit more was going on with these smokestacks here.
No spectacular mountain aerials on this trip. It was rather cloudy. These clouds are somewhere above central India on the way from Abu Dhabi to Thà nh phố Hồ Chà Minh.
Along the coast from Sharm el Sheikh returning from my Ras Mohammad Snorkeling trip. The Clouds where just awesome and where fanning out just like a peacocks tail.
Monday eve's clouds were so beautiful I had to pull over and do a pano of them! However, despite the gorgeous Cumulonimbus and anvils, we didn't have so much as a rumble! Too far away!

Taken at Merewether Beach (Newcastle, NSW; Australia) at the weekend; I found the light and stormy skies irresistible.

This storm cloud was strangely backlit by the setting sun as it passed over the US Capitol. Not much modification to this image other than to fix a minor over exposure.
