If you forget me
I want you to know
one thing.
You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.
If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.
If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.
But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

Ran out for the sunset and saw a man sitting on the top his car and singing along to his stereo. What a beautiful evening!
Sun rays through the clouds after rain in Bulgary. Taken from the bus window that took us back in Romania. Different angle and a little bit of color correction.

Hilo Lightning – When I see lightning, it’s just a flash of light and it’s gone. When I capture on camera, I can see all its details. The light pollution from Hilo made the sky orange and the lack of light pollution made the blue sky. This is the best one out of the 18 exposures I took. Lightning is unpredictable and you don’t know where exactly it’ll flash. 15 sec, ISO 100, f/8 @18mm.
I managed to persuade my Wife that it would be a good idea to go to the beach for the day as we have not had a holiday so far this year.
I am not sure that she realized i meant starting on the beach at 4.30:-)
We did have a splendid sunrise followed by coffee on the beach and eggs benedict at a very nice little cafe near by. We then sat and watched Porthcawl start to wake up.
On the down side, she got a better beach shot than me, She has a smug look on her face.

There's nothing like a good old fashioned midwestern summer thunderstorm... especially dramatic from above!
Taken at Merewether Beach (Newcastle, NSW; Australia) at the weekend; I found the light and stormy skies irresistible.
Hope you find the scene and image equally appealing.....

The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge near the cities of Los Banos and Stevinson is a very unique and beautiful location that I've only started to explore. While scouting this particularly large marsh I was drawn to the open areas of tule and the large number of playful ducks. The clouds from the breaking storm were the perfect element to compliment the foreground marsh.
