Not very common that in December here in Iceland we have no snow and the temperature is around 10° - 11° on celsius... But it is today... Now it is the darkest time of the year and the peak will be the 22 of December, after that the day will get abit longer again step by step... The darkness in December is nice.. It makes us appriciate the christmas lights and candles much more, and here we have alot of them... :)
Seeing the ribbed ice cloud forming from my window I dashed out to a local vantage point to catch the clouds and the sunset. The ribbed clouds had deminished by the time I got there but I thought this was worth a shot.
Photo taken in North Berkeley Hills overlooking San Feancisco Bay. Looking towards the Golden Gate Bridge (to the right of the pine tree). Marin County on the right side.
There were some pretty neat clouds passing over very quickly so I stopped in the middle of the quad to do a quick time-lapse. This is when keeping my tiny tiltpod in my bag at all times pays off. Though, it was so bright outside it was hard to see the screen and now I wish I could figure out a way to straighten this video slightly - anyone know an app for that?
