Photographing this was difficult as the etching changes appearance depending on how the light hits it.
This macro shot was taken just by holding a photographic negative loupe in front of a digital compact camera and using natural sunlight from an office window.
Make sure you turn off the camera flash before taking a shot like this.

With the impending arrival of my first son I had to have a rearrange of my kitchen to fit in his steralizer etc. Here is some new piccy's to look at, the tiles and kitchen as its a rental property can not be changed but the rest of my kitchen has a 50's cupcake/diner-esque feel.

A close up of the curved balconies and ornate railings.. reminds me of houses in The Cat in the Hat... perhaps this was inspiration for that book.
