I still keep many photos of Ireland. This is my last trip in 2016.
Walking on the coast is sometimes very difficult: the wind blows at a speed of 40 km/h carrying cold and water.
Walking with a wind like that is not easy and the face freezes with your hands, looking for shelter in your pockets.
The cliffs of Moher, to the western side of Ireland, nearby Galway. Awesome - well worth visiting. For scale, see the people at the top, walking crazily close to the precipice!

When I stopped Cliff and Isa, he was all for it. Isa giggled, but was shy and a bit reluctant. Then she asked what I did with the images. I pulled out my smart phone and showed her my Flickr Photostream. This satisfied her.
Cliff immediately asked what type of phone it was. I said Android. Then he said that he sold the swipe-able glass on the front of Android phones. It is Gorilla Glass, made by Corning. I said that mine was a Samsung Galaxy III, and that Samsung must be a good Corning customer. He said that, yes, Samsung was a one BILLION dollar customer. Think of it: all of the high technology that goes into smart phones, and Samsung pays one billion dollars just for the glass!

Located on the Colorado Plateau in northern Arizona, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument includes the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. The Monument borders Kaibab National Forest to the west and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to the east.
This remote and unspoiled, 280,000-acre Monument is a geologic treasure, containing a variety of diverse landscapes from the Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes, and Paria Canyon. Elevations range from 3,100 to 7,100 feet.
Visitors will enjoy scenic views of towering cliffs and deep canyons. Paria Canyon offers an outstanding three to five day wilderness backpacking experience. The colorful swirls of cross-bedded sandstone in Coyote Buttes are an international hiking destination. There are also opportunities to view wildlife, including California condors. There are two developed campgrounds just outside the Monument: Stateline and White House. Dispersed camping is allowed outside the wilderness area in previously disturbed areas.
A permit is required for hiking in Coyote Buttes North (the Wave), Coyote Buttes South, and for overnight trips within Paria Canyon.

The Saltburn Cliff Railway opened in 1883, it connects the pier with the town. It's two carriages operate by pumping water up to the top carriage, when it is heavy enough it travels down the 120 foot drop to the bottom station, pulling the lighter carriage from the bottom up. When it reaches the bottom the whole process is repeated.
