Sunset in Wales, waiting for the sun to drop after a scramble down the bank and over the rocks below.

Red rocks there in Arches National Park.

Another shot of the impressive cliffs and sea views in Marinha, Lagoa. Note the tiny figures silhouetted above the arch. A wonderful place to walk (with care).

While we stayed in Khao Sok we took a canoe journey down the local river. The scenery was amazing but we also saw some amazing wildlife along the way

The Cliffs of Moher (/ˈmoʊ(h)ər/; Irish: Aillte an Mhothair) are sea cliffs located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare, Ireland. They run for about 14 kilometres. At their southern end, they rise 120 metres (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and, eight kilometres to the north, they reach their maximum height of 214 metres (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs, built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien, then continue at lower heights. The closest settlements are Liscannor (6 km south) and Doolin (7 km north).

From the cliffs, and from atop the tower, visitors can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south. The cliffs rank among the most visited tourist sites in Ireland, with around 1.5 million visits per annum.

I think this may be a Yellow Legged Gull but since it's a juvenile, I'm not entirely sure as they look very similar to Herring Gulls in their juvenile stage.

Enjoy a lovely weekend everyone!

Out today with Pauls Pix 53, ianbartlett and ajlelliott for an 11 mile walk from Alfriston, along the River Cuckmere to the coast, and back.

It was a bit windy at times, but there is a storm approaching, so to be expected, but it wasn't that cold.

The Book Cliffs run from east of Grand Junction in Colorado west to Green River Utah and then north to Helper Utah, nearly 200 miles. In some places, the Cliffs resemble a shelf of books. This area is arid, sometimes without trees, sometimes softened by a piñon-juniper woodland.

Dunskey Castle is a ruined, 12th century tower house or castle, located 0.5 miles (0.80 km) south of the village of Portpatrick, Rhinns, Wigtownshire, on the south-west coast of Scotland.

Dunskey is undoubtedly romantic. It was a location for the 1951 film "Kidnapped" of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel, as well as for the 1952 film Hunted

I have always thought that sign would make more sense if it was in braille. I mean, if you can see the sign, you should also be able to see the cliff. Right?

A small segment of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in northern Arizona. We were driving the highway that follows the cliffs when I noticed some nice light hitting a section of pink sand in the foreground. It lasted just long enough for me to pull over to the side of the road, jump out of the car and snap a few shots. Just beyond the pink sand is Marble Canyon where California Condors frequently hang out.
