Over 60 City College students initiated a beach cleanup at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea today. Nearly a dozen local residents joined the students in removing several hundred pounds of trash and garbage from the sand and sea grass. By doing this, the students restored the environment and protected humans and wildlife from harm.
While gathering and planning the cleanup under the pavilion, the students' professionalism and commitment drew comments from onlookers. Many bystanders complimented the students, asking for information about them and City College.
The next beach cleanup will be Saturday, June 18th at 8:30am followed by an end of term Beach Party.

On Saturday (4/30/16) Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups worked with over 50 volunteers and Friends of the Hard Yacht Cafe room remove over 109 bags of trash, dozens of DVD Movies, 7 tires (one from a back hoe), 2 fire extinguishers, 2 gallons of used motor oil, a leather couch and love seat, a pipe rack, a chest of drawers and much more from the Peninsula Expressway. Thank you to all our incredible hard working volunteers for another incredible job!
We would also like to thank the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and American Rivers for all their assistance and support on this cleanup. Thank you so much Giant Food Pharmacy, Walmart Dundalk, Tradepoint Atlantic for your generous donations allowing is to purchase much needed supplies! We would also like to thank Towson University, Saint Timothy's School and for all the incredible volunteers they supplied!

I'm sooo sad because my camera is giving me Error99, it won't shoot. :( Change of the lens, switchon/off, cleanup didn't help so it had to go to the service....

Hundreds of volunteers helped beautify several Dallas ISD schools on Thursday, April 14, 2011, leading up to Earth Day. A mixed group consisting of Soldiers, Alpini, Department of the Army civilians and family members, work together to collect trash near Longare during the annual cleanup day March 11.
Members of the Vicenza Military Community came together to help Italian volunteers clean the town of Longare and surroundings up for spring.
On the following day, Soldiers from the Sergeant Morales Club and BOSS, along with their family members, joined Italian volunteers for the 4th annual cleanup day in Quinto Vicentino.
Both days, the cleanup ended with a luncheon offered to all participants to thank them for their enthusiasm and support.
