Ready for next season! The cleanup lasted about 30 minutes. The soil and organic matter has been placed in a compost pile and turned-in with a spade.

Despite a flooding river and in celebration of it, we held a cleanup on land and a fantastic River Festival with music, art, food, education and lots of fun stuff for kids.

Local teachers Ryan Snider and Lou Baczewski took a stockpile of our coolest scrap metal reclaimed from the river and created sculptures that were auctioned off to benefit Missouri River Relief.

This Powderhorn residence is located at 32nd Street and Cedar Avenue South.

"The site is an arsenic-contaminated residential neighborhood with environmental justice concerns in South Minneapolis, MN. Wind scattered arsenic from a pesticide formulation plant in the neighborhood throughout a three-quarter mile radius. This scattering occurred due to outdoor operations at the plant. Approximately 500 homes have arsenic in levels requiring cleanup of yards. EPA has found concentrations within the soils to be as high as 2,880 parts per million. This area has been residential since at least the early 1900s and is expected to remain residential into the future".

NetImpact clean-up on Nov. 11, 2012 in the Piedmont Park expansion

Over 60 City College students initiated a beach cleanup at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea today. Nearly a dozen local residents joined the students in removing several hundred pounds of trash and garbage from the sand and sea grass. By doing this, the students restored the environment and protected humans and wildlife from harm.

While gathering and planning the cleanup under the pavilion, the students' professionalism and commitment drew comments from onlookers. Many bystanders complimented the students, asking for information about them and City College.

The next beach cleanup will be Saturday, June 18th at 8:30am followed by an end of term Beach Party.

A mixed group consisting of Soldiers, Alpini, Department of the Army civilians and family members, work together to collect trash near Longare during the annual cleanup day March 11.

Members of the Vicenza Military Community came together to help Italian volunteers clean the town of Longare and surroundings up for spring.

On the following day, Soldiers from the Sergeant Morales Club and BOSS, along with their family members, joined Italian volunteers for the 4th annual cleanup day in Quinto Vicentino.

Both days, the cleanup ended with a luncheon offered to all participants to thank them for their enthusiasm and support.
