This outfit is really nicely designed and I love the curls.

Yea. Classical, corny but everyone needs to have done this at least once.

New (manual) lens I just got, Tamron 135mm f/2.8 with 8 aperature blades!

Quarto, manuscript in sepia ink on laid paper, 48 pp plus endpapers, one of which is also the title page, also manuscript. Orchestral parts labeled on each page.

Orchestral parts of Beethoven's Overture (Op. 84) for an 1811 production of Goethe's 1787 play The Tragedy Of Egmont, revived during Napoleon's ongoing conquest of Europe.

On laid paper. The endpapers are watermarked JAN KOOL & COMP, which appears as early as 1809 but whose watermark appears on paper from around 1820 (Earliest I've found is 1816). The score is written on papers watermarked with a crowned fleur-de-lys under which is C & I HONIG, from a papermaker which operated under that name from about 1770 until going under in the 1850s.

Title page of the symphony orchestra score, with inkstamps "MUSIS SACRUM 1828" at the top and "A. LE LIÉVRE" top and bottom. The Musis Sacrum stamp appears on a few later pages.

Abraham Le Lievre (1799-1860) was a Leiden music teacher, known b his students as The Swearing Hare, a play on his last name, which is French for "hare." In 1828 he founded Musis Sacrum (Latin for "consecrated to the Muses"), a classical music appreciation society dedicated to promoting music among the bourgeoisie and that organized its own symphony and chamber orchestras. Musis Sacrum was active from 1828 until becoming dormant ten years after Le Lievre's death, after which it was revived from 1880 until about 1900. It is unrelated to the Arnhem symphony hall founded under the same name in the 1840s. (Wikipedia)

I do not know when Le Lievre acquired this manuscript, which appears to date to the 1820s. I have not found any other manuscripts online that belonged to his collection, nor much of anything else about the organization.

The Library of Celsus is Ephesus's best known landmark, owing to the remarkable preservation of it's facade which, having collapsed at some point in the Middle Ages was meticulously pieced back together and re-erected in the late1970s (with a concealed stell frame to protect against further earthquake damage).

Ephesus is justly famed as one of the finest ancient Roman sites anywhere. The ruins of the city are extensive with many impressive monuments to amaze the visitor (that have often been partially reassembled to give an indication of their former glory and context).

Unfortunately the fame and popularity of the site means that, unlike most of the classical sites we visited elsewhere, it is constantly crowded with tourists. However the city has always attracted visitors, and among those who spent time here centuries ago were St Paul and St John (and possibly Mary herself if one believes in the authenticity of her nearby residence).

Historic 1932 Animal Industries Building on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The Eclectic Classical Revival style building’s exterior features stone casts of cattle skulls, horse heads and horseshoes, and cornucopias. The entrance door is flanked by a cast-iron compilation of Texas cattle brands. The building was dedicated to “the pioneer livestock men of Texas” in 1936.

The Animal Industries Building was one of ten buildings constructed during a five-year period from 1928 to 1933 for the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (renamed Texas A&M in 1963). The others included the 1929 Chemistry Building, 1930 Cushing Memorial Library, 1930 Hart Hall, 1931 Alton Hall, 1932 Administration Building (now Jack K. Williams Administration Building), 1932 Agricultural Engineering Building (now Scoates Hall), 1932 Veterinary Hospital Building (now Haynes Engineering Building), 1932 Petroleum Engineering & Geology Building (now the Michel T. Halbouty Geosciences Building), and the now demolished 1933 Horse Barn (also known as the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station Annex Building).

Two years ago I was so desperate and told her I can read inside her mind using IR. Confidently she said “Nice try.” From her tweets I knew she’s far away in Zurich now.

This guy had his eyes open for tourist females wandering down by the shore by the Santa Lucia district of Naples. The combination of his dogs plus classical statuary worked in his favor, evidently. His latissimus dorsi definition might have helped as well.
