This scene can no longer be photographed as Miles Platting station has disappeared almost without trace, and the area has been resignalled. On 7 March 1985, we see 47343 taking the Standedge line on a tank train. I'm not sure if it's empties returning to Tees-side or a loaded train from Stanlow.
