A very popular train on a scenic and underrated route was the summer only loco hauled Cardiff/Bristol to Weymouth and return in the late afternoon. While on an All Line Rover, after having 37251 and 37252 the previous night from Inverness to Edinburgh, I got off the sleeper at Crewe and made my way to Brizzle via Birmingham New Street to enjoy 37158 on this train. A tidy move if I do say so myself.
With dogfish and topes in tow, 37798 passes Cossington with the 6M65 10.33 Doncaster to Mountsorrel ballast empties, 21st March 1997.
Making its way along the Marches Route towards Carmarthen, The Branch Line Society's "565 Special" was in the hands of Colas 37s 37254 + 37175 on 02/9/2017 & is pictured passing Pandy.
Class 37 37407 is pictured in the sidings at York catching the evening sun and awaiting its next duty (or a good clean!) on October 30th 2021.

I'd take the pair to Brora for 37114 & 37025 back to Inverness, the Georgmass Jn to Thurso engine was being swapped hence the pairs!
37183 is still working as 37884 with ROG
37418 makes its' departure from Cardiff Queen St with 2R20 17:01 Cardiff Central - Rhymney on 21/8/2019.
10th January 1996. Despite it's light load, 37891 slips on a damp rail in Acton Yard as it prepares for a short jaunt to Willesden Old Oak Sidings with Acton T18 engineers trip.
6th September 1997. "Eisteddfod Genedlaethol" on 1D81 18:17 Crewe to Bangor with class 101 DMU 101 676 on a Holyhead-bound service in the background.
Network Rail recently donated this Class 37, no. 37198, which was surplus to their requirements, to the then Head of Steam Railway Museum, run by Darlington Borough Council, at the historic North Road station site in Darlington.
37198 / D6898 has been superficially restored in an as built livery. This Class 37 is significant given that it was the last diesel locomotive built in Darlington.
It is seen on display in the recently developed Hopetown railway museum, based on the North Road / Head of Steam Railway Museum in Darlington. Much work has taken place to open Hopetown for the 200 year celebrations of the Stockton & Darlington Railway this year.
