The Minnesota Southern has grabbed some ethanol tanks and sand hoppers from interchange with the Union Pacific in Worthington and are pulling towards their home trackage. The conductor will dismount, jump in the company pickup and drive to the next crossing to flag it (they flag every crossing between Worthington and Luverne). The hogger will meanwhile drop his speed from a comfortable 30 mph along the Union Pacific, to a crawl of 8 to 10 mph for the 35 mile journey back to home base at Luverne. Their 80 mile round trip to and from Worthington typically takes the crew 7 to 10 hours.

NB06 I believe makes its way into Berkeley yard on a nice warm summer day with their 5260 leading the way to the west end of the yard. After all these years this is still my favorite locomotive of all time, it was one of the first trains I ever saw, so its really special to me.

A Norfolk Portsmouth Belt Line trains comes off the NIT line and into Berkeley yard on a overcast afternoon with NS 5113 crossing over bainbridge Blvd in South Norfolk. I’ve really do missing posting NPBL stuff. Documenting stuff that would run on the shortline was something I was passionate about sharing and feel like I haven’t do enough, manly contribute to me not being happy with my shots of them but I plan to share some more stuff here soon.

RBMN 3059 leads the NRFF through Tamaque at 3:25 with a very pretty looking consist.

I chased this train from Port Clinton to Tamaque and was a very fun experience. It was really cool to also see 3059 again after last seeing it in the patched NS paint. Loved seeing it in fresh paint. Was a very nice bonus to see the fast freight sister together on a train. some really cool stuff today.

Has Z864 and Z862 work alongside together, I was able to capture at the crossing in Doswell next to their yard. Z862 was waiting for the diamond to clear up its traffic and waits its turn patiently in the snow.

Inspired by Tolga Erbora shot, i was able to shot the new era of the Chesapeake and Albemarle with 502 leading 3557 southbound to Elizbeth City. 2116 is now gone and assigned to the CWRY for now, no idea for how long.

NRFF passes through Port Clinton with the fresh 3059 leading the charge.

The Chesapeake and Albemarle is about to go through some crazy changes here in the on coming months. C&A just received a new GP38-2 from Georgia Central to replace the aging GP7u 2158. There are new rumors of a GP40 coming to the shortline as well. My guess is there trying to get new geeps to replace there 2 GP7u and return the leased GP10. Its a truly sad sight for myself as i have grew up with these engines and its sad to see them go, but i guess its nice to see the C&A get some new engines at least.

Well this is the most recent train i have caught as of right now. NPBL 5260 leads a tank train to Berkeley yard on a very gloomy day. This was a good train for me to go out on but im currently unable to take trips has for right now. Today i got in a car accident and wrecked the front of my car. Very upset about but thankful im ok. i hope to get back to posting as soon as possible but will see how long it takes.

After almost two years, I’m back. Finally able to shoot a railroad that is near and dear to a close friend of mine, Michigan Shore. I’ve explained before on this page that me and Charlie have been close friends for a while and have shown each other are shots of railroads and shortline in are respected areas. Charlie main shortline was Michigan shore and mine was the Norfolk Portsmouth Belt line. I’ve seen this railroad for years through FaceTime calls and once in person in the yard in Muskegon, but finally after 5 years of knowing about this small railroad in western Michigan, I finally got to shoot it running which meant the world to me, all while hanging out with my best friend. Anyways to get to the info you’re really looking for, Z627-12 makes its way over the Grand River in Grand Haven Michigan.

What was once the Pennsylvania railroad ferry service from Cape charles to Virginia Beach is now served at a transload facility which is worked by the Buckingham Branch Railroad. The line has other customers however it is a very small set of track and is slowly whittling away. BB #2 is the only unit that serves its customers, seen here working Little Creek on a glowingly morning.

RBMN powers sits in Port Clinton in front of the engines shops with a various of power. Personal favorite to catch was the SD38, something you don't see everyday.
