I feel blessed to have captured this moment I am not sure if this was actually a cross representing the building being a church or an old telephone pole..but to me it gave the impression of a church..This completes the photos taken on my wonderful self drive tour in America..

What amazes me with animals is they know who their 'family' is.
When Beaker met Cisco and King, the first time he saw them his eyes nearly popped out of his head but now he is fine with them even walking around their legs. Now what I find intriguing is, the neighbours cows which we walk past every afternoon, Beaker is still scared of them and will do the commando crawl to pass them.
My question is ....how do they know who is part of their 'family' when there is only a barb wire fence separating them.
Also Beaker will hiss and growl at the other foster cats if I let them in the the house to roam around. He see's them everyday through the door but he knows they are not part of his family.
While I'm talking animal behaviour........when I was living in Western Australia I was fascinated with how each horse knew when their owners turned up. The horses would be in their paddock or stable but the moment their owner came in the drive they knew it was them. Cisco knew when I came and would whiny and wait at the door or gate but no other horse would pay attention and the same went with the other horses. I would be up in Cisco's stable and one horse out of 20 would start pacing or neigh and i knew what human just arrived without even seeing them.
Animal behaviour is fascinating.

Baking in the relentless desert sun on U.S. Highway 6, south of I-70 near the Colorado border is the crusty railroad town of Cisco, Utah. Truly looking like something out of a scary movie, where a driver’s car breaks down, and he or she disappears forever, this now quiet town was not always so.
Cisco began as a much needed watering stop for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad 's steam engines in the 1880s. Slowly, a town grew up around the railroad station that primarily supported the nearby cattle ranchers and sheep herders. With the railroad, the settlement quickly became a provisioning and shipping center for the livestock who ranged in the nearby Book Cliffs. In fact, at the turn of the century over 100,000 head of sheep were sheared here, before being shipped to market.

Cisco Utah
The Cisco area used to contain many relics of a typical old west railroad town but most of the relics are heavily damaged or gone and the town is littered with abandoned vehicles. Cisco survived long enough into the 20th century to be assigned a ZIP Code, 84515
