My first attempt to get my own pungent chilli peppers on my balcony. Yes, I'm happy! Finally, the harvest seems to be very satisfactory... 😊 😁
In Bangladesh, Bogra farmers are eying bumper production of chilli every year.

Our chilli with it's beautiful bloom...
May you all have a beautiful bloom by your side and appreciate it always...
Supermarkets/greengrocers only really stock boring mild chillis so I ordered a selection of hotter ones to grow at home. I love the taste of these hotter chillis and spicy foods in general. Best dig the heated propagators out of the garage as these need minimum 24C to germinate well.
In other news ... Blimmin freezing. 5 mile run. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome playing up. Anxiety inducing number of unread emails building up thanks to other work commitments.
Marmite Dynamite Chiili

Chilli Beef Stir Fry. A bit of a cheat meal, as the sauce and beef were obtained from Village Butchers, Peckershill, St Helens. Lots of beef. Very tasty indeed.
The chili pepper, also chile pepper or chilli pepper, from Nahuatl chīlli is the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum, members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. The term in British English and in Australia, New Zealand, India, Malaysia and other Asian countries is just chilli without "pepper".
Chili peppers originated in the Americas. After the Columbian Exchange, many cultivars of chili pepper spread across the world, used in both food and medicine.
India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of chili peppers.

Loads of chilli peppers startening to ripen now. This small selection are a variety called Apache and I've got about 10 plants. They seem to be really productive with lots of peppers on each. They're very tasty and in terms of heat, pretty similar to Bird's Eye Chillis, so a bit of a kick. I'll be using some in my chilli con carne this evening. Actually should be 'chilli sin carne' I guess given it's a vegetarian version.
Apologies for a lot of posting and running recently. I'll try to catch up with comments ASAP.
A couple of chilli peppers now off to work. Happy to get back to painting. I just set up a Facebook page www.facebook.com/debramorrisart if you want to visit but will keep uploading here.
Following golf this morning I spent the afternoon (after watching the football of course) potting all the chilli plants on in to their final (7.5L) pots. I've given some away but I've still got 32 plants and not nearly enough space. The little greenhouse is full and the rest are scattered around the garden.
One day later, chilli kept at a fridge, better light and a little more time. Light with a small flash from Elinchrom, a BRX250 and deep octa with diffusor.
Actually the deep octa was a little beside the red plate, otherwise there was always a reflection on the plate.

This is a Chilli Hot Chocolate I had at Koko Black's on Lygon Street, Melbourne.
It was delicious as it looks. ;)

Late going home after a busy day at the office. The rain was tipping down. I sensed the rain would give me some interesting reflections at this busy little junction in Wilmslow outside the Chilli Banana Thai Restaurant and the Shell Garage. Whilst I sat in the driver's seat I stuck two tripod legs in the driver's door bin and armrest and the third leg rested on the centre console. I concentrated on the car lights in the centre of the picture, when I should have focussed on those gorgeous colours on the left of the frame. Damn! (This shot is already cropped to less than half of the original)
Never mind there will be plenty wet nights to come in the next few months. I can try again!
